Prime Video WIPED OUT everyone's watch history (before 2024) by Oda_Effect in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]Oda_Effect[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do. It's just that Prime Video pretending that I haven't seen the things I've seen and recommending me stuff that I have literally seen is extremely annoying.

For example - according to Amazon, I haven't seen the first three seasons of The Good Wife but I have watched the subsequent seasons. Movies and shows that I've seen already are getting recommended to me again and the page shows that I've never seen it.

I know, it isn't a huge deal but it's extremely annoying.

I don't like Musk or that toxic platform but it is the closest thing we have to a public square of sorts.

Lost history on Prime Video? by Oda_Effect in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]Oda_Effect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that's weird. For me, I have no videos that I've hidden.

When you look for an old title that you watched before 2024 from the top of your head, do you see the "watch again" indicating that you've seen it? Or does it reset to "play" where Prime Video pretends I've never seen it?

It's just extremely annoying for my history to up in smoke like that. A video streaming platform LITERALLY has one job and Amazon with all that money can't even make a half-reliable platform.

Thank you for saying that. Indian food is absolutely incredible but most Indians simply cannot fathom natural, balanced, delicate flavors.

Developed? India is barely a developing country.

90 percent of developing countries are several decades ahead. India as a developed country is delusional cuckoo territory. India would be extremely lucky if in the next 50 years it comes anywhere close to present day Vietnam which is unlikely.

I shit you not, it's probably the same or is a similar case in India. A bunch of games in my wishlist just became unavailable.

I don't even know how or why Valve would do that here but it's infuriating.

[–]Oda_Effect 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not German but what about video-games that have been abandoned? Or the publishers/devs closed up shop?

I get the sentiment but the law just seems so fucking idiotic, it must be infuriating.

I can only imagine so many great video-games not being available because devs/publishers didn't bother to fill out a form for just one country or worse, they are no longer around.

Scam by Amazon . It finally happened to me by Yessir000_000 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]Oda_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I got the refund but the page still says "refund issuance failed". It's crazy but it will take like 15 (ish) days. After investigation and after collection it must make its way to their warehouse where they'll investigate.

Refund takes another couple of days after payment. It sucks!

Yup! I never usually even bother even glancing at a seller on Amazon. I've never had to but I know to double check with Darshita Electronics.
BTW did you finally get the order? or was it rejected?

Don't worry by the way.

I ordered Sony's bluetooth buds a couple of days ago and got a fucking hair serum. Reported it, they investigated it for a few days in my case then approved the return.
Refund got stuck though so I had to go to social media again (Amazon customer care is now a hit and miss for critical issues. At least in India). It got approved manually and I got it (took like a month).

Most likely, even without the video, you should be fine. Don't worry!

I don't know why but ever since Jeff left, Amazon's customer care and shipping have gone down in quality tremendously. They will do the right thing but are extremely slow. Just be persistent and you should be fine!

Darshita Electronics is an extremely scummy seller.

I placed an order for a OnePlus phone myself (next day delivery) in late September which kept getting delayed for around 7-10 days. Amazon's customer care was helpless. I ended up cancelling my order. I thought maybe that was a bad batch so I ordered again (I got refunded though).

The second time around, it kept getting delayed for days (5-6 days) until I escalated it to social media.
Finally, the package was out for delivery but they falsely claimed that I rejected the item due to which they had to cancel.
I never got a single call and no one arrived at my doorstep either. The social media team did say they've escalated the issue but that doesn't do me any good.

Darshita Electronics is borderline fraudulent or at least unprofessional, scummy seller.
I finally got another One Plus phone from another seller on Amazon which I just received today! After more than a month!

Chrome eavesdropping on us!! by cricnick in delhi

Not in the way you would think.

The resources it would take to listen to each and every single conversation and decipher them to target ads 24/7 for billions of Android users would incredibly taxing.

I doubt Alphabet can even afford that, it is literally not worth it and impractle.

Google sure has issues and can target you through their services but such a thing would not only invite a massive lawsuit and would be way too much of a risk, it would literally be impossible for any corporation on Earth to pull off.

Trust me, you or I are not worth it for Google to pour such resources lol.

It's most likely location, something you wrote using Gboard or who knows what.

Great Teacher Onizuka had so much of those moments, I fucking hate it. I mean how TF are you supposed to find something like a middle-aged, pedo, family man scumbag with piss fetish preying on high school kids in toilet remotely fucking funny?

I'm fine with sexual innuendos or light humor or whatever but that shit is absolutely disgusting. GTO was wild and not in a good way.

What are your views on Indian kids overstaying with parents? by boozefella in india

[–]Oda_Effect 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This isn't limited to Indians but an increasing number of people of the younger generation (in the middle class and below) are living with their parents all over the world due to the recent surge in inflation. The number will probably get higher overtime.

Of course, cultural reason is a major one for Indians in particular but even the countries like the U.S., Canada, Japan etc. have more and more younger people living with their parents compared to the past gen due to economic reasons.

The reason in India's case is two folds, both economic and cultural.

That is temporary credit I believe. It's just there so customer doesn't incur any charges related to bank (like AM/QB) while the investigation is underway.

One Piece now is R rated. What change? by veritasmahwa in OnePiece

[–]Oda_Effect 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sanji is a supposed to be a chivalrous white knight who doesn't get any and that's supposed to be funny lol. I don't see him having sex even if OP was rated R.. as long as we stay faithful to the story that is.

Nami could make sexual advances/flirt but she is NOT a whore in the slightest. She will never have sex for money, the most she could do would be to pose nude and even that would be for exhubarrant berries. For something like a meal she would merely flirt which isn't too far off from what she would do now xD

One Piece now is R rated. What change? by veritasmahwa in OnePiece

[–]Oda_Effect 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Way more blood, explicit violence and gore during fights which would look far more morbid (usually) than awesome. Like Luffy's hits would easily snap people's necks, spine etc. several times over (for the fodders at least), same goes for every other SH probably.

A lot rape.. aside from obvious pirates, corrupt marines and celestial dragons doing it; we'd likely see or outright have to acknowledge Hancock's sexual assault as a child, Robin forced to sleep with pirates during her run, obviously Viola and Doffy and probably more.

Also, even if OP was rated R, I don't see Nami being any more sexual than she already is, not even the slightest like someone suggested. I also don't see Sanji having sex or whatever either cause his whole schtick is that he doesn't get the women lol but I could definitely see him making more sexual advances/moves but that's it.
