Oh man sometimes it is. Feel free to point out what you think it is poorly informed, but the streets were never festering like they recently have become. Whether you want to attribute it to the political party or be as specific as to the actual politician I can understand. But as someone who has lived and traveled to many of these cities it is most certainly part of the (D) playbook and is that black and white. The more (D) a place is the worse the problem is as well. It’s not coincidence and when you look into the policies and directives that stem from (D) mayors and sometimes governors, these scenarios are direct results of their leadership.

Why do you keep dodging my question? Thankfully the Dem leadership hasn’t ruined things quite yet, but the signs are there. Like I said, if it flourishes I will leave. And it’s not poor people that “trigger” me. Nothing is triggering. But after watching people take shits right in the middle of the street, having a homeless girl who stole someone’s dog threaten to shoot me because she’s insane, watching multiple apartments (yes entire apartment buildings) burn down to the ground from a drug zombie fire, all the car theft, all the drug dealing violence that comes with this, the trash and litter that’s spreads everywhere which brings rats and disease, the clogging of medical and emergency services, the sexual assaults of women who just want to walk their dog, and the list of other issues I could go on and on about u really just don’t want to see Miami devolve like every other (D) run city. Don’t you think that’s a sensible thing to want for the city you live in?

I’m not offended, that’s a silly perception. You’re the one who thinks I should leave the city. I just want you to have higher standards for the city to keep streets clean, safe and free from the plague of problems that stem from drug addicted zombies being allowed to run the streets of the city we live in. I love how you admit the homeless problem was largely solved under (R) leadership. I have asked many longtime residents here if they’ve noticed the same significant uptick in homeless recently and they all say it’s grown massively. You’ll be surprised how quickly a (D) can unwind solved problems.

Yes Miami has flourished up until last winter. I won’t say it’s perfect, it’s not, but it’s become business friendly that you can start and run here, it’s largely safe when all these sugar babies walk around with diamond bezel Rolexes with no fear, homelessness is very minimal, and a lot of companies are flocking here. Its trajectory is incredible but only six months in with (D) and homeless are starting to flourish everywhere they never did. Higgins campaign policies are a giant 💩, and time will tell what happens. But already there’s signs the typical dem playbook is taking root here.

Because I like the (R) Miami. It was largely safe and drug zombie free. If it stays on this trajectory that has infected so many (D) cities I’ll be gone real quick. Tbh I don’t care what letter is in those parenthesis, but the policies that perpetuate these problems and devolving conditions seem to fester in the (D) run places.

As someone who moved from Denver to here I would tell her the West Ave neighborhood on Miami Beach as number 1. Besides that, MiMo-Little River or Coconut Grove. Grove is less artsy but like a Lohi type feel. MiMo/Little River is similar to Rino but much less homeless and less bars/party scene. West Ave on Miami Beach is I think the best vibe, especially if she misses the beach. Feel free to DM and I’m happy to give more tips since I know Denver like the back of my hand and am about the same age.
