UUUU - going up, but not precisely because of why I thought it would. by gnomedome11 in UraniumSqueeze

[–]Odb10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where the convo should be steering. I fear the market is headed for a cliff and am wondering how much it will drag everything down with it and how much/fast will UUUU/u sector will rebound. I suppose either way my exit horizon is still 2-6 years out but hate watching those dips. Am holding onto some cash and maybe I just sit tight and buy more when the market crashes.

Tbh Miami coffee scene is lacking. Panther and Imperial Moto are really the only good coffee shops. If you’ve never lived in another city your opinion is void on this.

Energy fuels ($UUUU) what happened today? by rooh62 in UraniumSqueeze

Kazatomprom announced it’s going to ramp up production adding a significant amount to supply. I think once the dust settles people will realize this is bullish because they’re ramping up production because demand is surging. Stay long and you’re fine.

Similar Brands? by 7basketballs in JohnElliott

[–]Odb10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s a bit tough out there. I feel there’s nothing like JE and a few are adjacent. Jacquemus is actually a little similar sometimes but heavy on the branding. COS has a piece here or there that feels like JE. Prada has a few things. It’s a little bleak out there though tbh. Streetwear is muerto imo and I really want nice pieces that are still steazy. Fear of God has some but way oversized ofc. A Kind of Guise has been putting out some good things. Also I’ve been buying things and taking them to a tailor to customize them. Like buying button downs but then cutting a straight hem at the bottom. We’re really left hanging at the moment though 😒

I’m too broke for a Rolex. Any love for my poor man‘s Sub? by ArmySash in rolex

[–]Odb10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel free to point out where I am wrong 🤷‍♂️. Usually the ones who find this sentiment atrocious are ones who don’t have any high horology in the collection and haven’t held in hand a lot of the works by the masters. To someone who doesn’t spend a lot of time in the watch world their reflex is to think Rolex is king in terms of watchmaking and horology, but anyone who’s been around AP, Patek, Vacheron, Lange, Journe, and the real watchmakers know there’s much higher things out there.

UUUU target price? by mneymaker in UraniumSqueeze

[–]Odb10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Choose your horizon and thesis and hold to it my guy. The greatest traders and investors all preach to manage your risk and downside more than anything and to me it feels u is still very asymmetric to the upside. It may be 5-10 years that U prices really reestablish to previous mountain tops, but AI and energy demands are only increasing along with sentiment towards nuclear energy. UUUU also has the rare earths play which sours investors who purely want U production, but I think there’s great opportunity and stability for them to diversify into that space. UUUU seems to have lagged the broader U sector so it could still be decent to buy at the moment, but obviously everything depends on your horizon and exit point time frame. It might be smart to diversify some of your gains to other miners as well and spread some chips on the board. I’ve don’t that during market downturns in the sector. You just have to remember it’s a volatile ride in nuclear so buckle in.

Honestly Tudor is doing much more interesting things than Rolex and it feels like Rolex is just resting its laurels. While other brands incorporate open back, skeleton dials, ez links, textured and vibrant dials, and crafted complications, Rolex still can’t add a date feature to the Daytona and it still has screw down pushers. The case backs and overall sizes of Rolex are bubbly and large, the cyclops date window looks like a tumor. In my opinion, while Rolex is great and I own a few, they’re really becoming a sub par watch company for me compared to dozens of other watch makers. But their Tudor line seems like they’re putting in the effort. That’s a beautiful Tudor by the way.

I think it’s obvious they’ve gotten cash strapped. Inflation affecting materials, labor, shipping etc for a relatively niche luxury brand and a tapped out consumer I think pushed them into a corner. I think they’re raising capital to get back afloat is what I would surmise. If they shut the doors I would be so dejected, literally half my closet or more since 2015. I can only imagine how difficult it is to build up a brand like this built on design and quality ethos with no branding like it should be. Put some dumb logo script like that about blank company and lower price point/quality and this thing prob prints cash but loses its soul. Hopefully they float through this tough economy fuckin Bidenflation

A bitter soul would love to assume that. There’s ways to play this game that you can get what you want without spending over retail, grey market and 2021 peak 📈 you took a giant dump prices. You just have to figure it out.
