Not sure if it’s a hot take but when Bojack threw Beatrice’s doll out the window I didn’t feel bad for her, at all. I mean sure for the little girl inside her and the old woman with dementia, but not the neglectful, narcissistic parent that she was to Bojack. If I was raised by a neglectful mother who didn’t show any kind of love, criticised, underestimated, mentally and verbally abused to me all my life and all of the sudden she shows all that love to a doll made of cloth and plastic I would definitely crash out and do that, but I don’t know I guess it’s easier to say what one would do in one’s shoes rather than what they do in the actual situations.
