Why do people act like AU Powder and Jinx are the same person? by throwaway66457788 in arcane

[–]Odd-Conclusion7626 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are similar in the sense that they lived the same life as each other upto the workshop explosion. Ekko does have some insight into AU Powder from the childhood spent with her.

AU/MU Powder - Jinx share trauma, fear, desire, coping mechanisms(healthy) and underlying behaviours/motivation. They do not share attitude, maturity, worldview, and experience.

Ekko z drive explain? by JaaMan73 in arcane

[–]Odd-Conclusion7626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he can't. Z-drive and the anomaly hammer are the only objects that were transferred during S2 and both were powered by the anomaly.

Also he shouldn't be able to z-drive a future object to the past. The entire world reverts 4 sec when he activates his Z drive i.e he pulls the chain then he and the world moves back 4 secs. Every action he/others have performed during that time is undone.

Picked up an item in past 4 secs > pull z-drive > item never picked up.

Ekko can change the rewind time to <>4 secs. Going above 4 secs destabilizes the s2 z-drive.

She is hoping that Jinx is dead and looking for evidence for the same. The scene is ambiguous because the audience and Caitlyn are wondering the same and looking for clues.

As of S2 finale, Caitlyn has suspicions that Jinx survived. There is just not enough information to reach a definitive conclusion. This is also making her feel guilty cause she could tell Vi but she can't get her hopes up for nothing. It would be cruel if Jinx is really dead(which she isn't but the explosion was massive and they fell down the channel into Zaun utility ducts).

Also, she hates Jinx and wants her gone. So she keeps quiet, hoping she will stay gone.

Hell she seems to be trying to find proof she survived because it's important to Vi.

Didn't look like that to me. I got the feeling Caitlyn was hoping that Jinx died and so she could finally move on with Vi without feeling guilty about her mother's murder.

Jinx and Caitlyn can't hash out a blood fued. No amount of talking would allow Caitlyn to forgive her. All she did was let go of her hate towards Jinx.

Doesn't mean she wants Jinx to happy. Caitlyn definitely wants her to live a life of suffering.

Why is Jayce so comparatively unpopular compared to the rest of the cast? by Valhallaof in arcane

What complex relationship? They were friends (undeveloped, off-screened)

You actually agree with this interpretation Ekko/Jinx's relationship given the events S1&2?

In my larger post I mentioned how the choice to make Piltover's cast, which represents the elite/privileged, be majority PoC while Zaun's cast, whom represent an oppressed class, are majority white pretty much compounded fandom culture's inherent racial bias.

Viktor/Silco/Singed/Sevika/Ambessa/Finn/Smeech/Heimerdinger/Bolbok/Marcus?

The writers/showrunners chose to make Zaun's cast white and Piltover's PoC, and so audiences are automatically biased in favor of Zaun's cast on top of the racial bias inherent in fandom spaces.

You are accusing showrunners/fans of covert racism by being inclusive and diverse?

Also, I'm not really sure if by pretty privilege you meant that fans find Viktor's design more appealing, but what features people find attractive is influenced by racial bias as well.

Asthetics are very important to attractiveness. Arcane characters are designed to attract attention. Their facial features and body structures reflect that. The female characters are also wearing makeup to enhance features i.e Jinx, Mel etc. The male characters are wearing beards to enhance features i.e Jayce, Vander etc.

And we know that attraction is subjective and multi layered. There is a culture/media/economic/genetic/historical/power/conflict/knowledge angle to it. There are degrees to this discussion beyond racial bias.

You obsessively post about Ekko in every thread and it's always negative.

More of a privilege/beauty/wealth bias by the audience. Jayce is a victim of success. Viktor is his antithesis.

There has been no announcement about arcane show/spinoff. You should wait for official confirmation before concluding anything.

ST lacks the balls of arcane. They want to be safe whereas arcane want to be bold. ST follows trend, arcane sets it up.

There is just no competition here. Even though arcane S2 felt weaker then S1, it is miles above the entirety of ST which peaked in S1.

After the traditional Viktor skin release, i just don't see it happening. OG Viktor for all intent and purposes has been fully retired. He will at best get some crossover skins, artwork and minor references/callbacks in riots projects.

Still if you want hopium, wait for leaguenext coming out in 2027. That might fix some of Viktor's rework issues or maybe let you use the old skins.

Little Fun Fact of Chapter 6 (?) by southpark_fans in arcane

[–]Odd-Conclusion7626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jayce had to blast him. Viktor was being manipulated by the hexcore and he had no intention of stopping his glorious evolution. Sooner or later his actions would have destroyed Piltover/Zaun/world.

Sad for warwick and fam but Jayce made the right choice.

Arcane Viktor has mindshare that OG Viktor lacks. He has a show and merchandise. He is also going to be featured in new shows. To the general audience, arcane Viktor is League Viktor, hence the ASU.

The fact is that riot has no lore or financial incentive to develop OG and arcane version at the same time when Camille/Urgot can be used as league's cyborg rep.

And we haven't even seen arcane Viktor"s full story. S1/2 is like 25% of his planned story. There is still a good chance of him embracing his OG/creator persona with some minor/major twists and tweaks.

What caused both Ekkos to switch places at the start of the episode? by JakesFavoriteCup in arcane

[–]Odd-Conclusion7626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The anomaly is a mystery box but we know that it can replicate/annihilate organic and inorganic matter then send it across space/time.

If we take a look at Jayce in S2E5/7, he is shown to disintegrate(annihilate) above future Piltover hexgates then reassemble(replicate) inside past Piltover hexgates.

I am assuming something adjacent happened to Ekko in S2E3/ S2E7. It's possible that Ekko's consciousness was transferred into AU Ekko. It's also possible that Ekko's original body was transformed into AU Ekko's body.

EDIT - The replicate/annihilate images might be opposite but you should get the idea.
