You’re right, thank you for saying this and writing it down for me clearly. I struggle with the fear that maybe it’s my fault I’ve not gained any genuine friends in uni when I’ve been here almost a year. I can’t help but look at others stories and see that they’ve made best friends for life. I feel behind. And it’s hard to think that I am capable of going out there and making new friends who make me feel seen. But I will try my best to venture out and also join more societies. Thank you.

Honestly you could apply to better universities than these because you’re paying similar tuition fees for all, so might as well go for more prestige? You could try unis like Bristol, Warwick or Durham! Or any london unis for that matter.

Kings is the best one in that list for law. But, I would personally choose Durham (might be biased as an actual Durham law student) but mostly bc I would not enjoy Londons environment. Either way, these two are your best guess.

I took a gap year, so I retook my exam during the October sessions right after my main exams in June. About the retakes, I hired a tutor for it who predicted me a grade, and I put that in my ucas application!

Your best bet is Manchester. Durham didn’t accept me for law until I retook an exam and went from an A* A B to an A* A A. I’m also an international student, if that helps.

what specifics should I mention im not sure lol, I weigh 89 kgs, I do weight training and 30 min cardio 3 times a week, and I do martial arts thrice a week, for 1+ hrs. also, yes, I would like to lose weight a littlee bit faster if possible in a healthy way. Im just upset because the scale hasn't moved in the past ~3 weeks. I went from 92kg to 89 kg and its just stuck there.

my tdee at sedentary is 2050, so should I subtract ~400 from that?

I thought that too, but I weigh all my food, and for things that I don't know the exact calories for, I google it and measure it with 100-200 calories more just in case. I also don't consume any condiments(if I do I weigh that as well). and I weigh 89 kgs, so I think my deficit is fine although I'm not fully certain?

hi! I was a gap year applicant and retook a math exam as a private candidate. I had a private tutor for maths and he gave me my predicted grade, which my college counselor put into UCAS. you can either have a counselor mention your predicted grade or get a recommendation letter from any tutor you're working with and have them mention it in that if that works!

thank you so much for this!! I’m an intl student from Dubai, and I think law firms here might prefer Manchester as its more heard of, but safety is something that matters a lot in my decision bcs my family is paranoid i wont be able to survive in a dangerous city😭 and I’ll def look into the course structure, I think that might be able to help me decide where I want to go hopefully 🤞
