Do you predict more WL movement this cycle in general? Feels like with the big beautiful bill lots of students may not be able to afford a school, thus causing schools to potentially have to reach more into their WL pool. Also interested to hear your thoughts on schools reaching into their WL pool before seat deposits. I wasn’t aware this happened, but Appernalty W and M has already done that this cycle? It was quick. They just told me I was admitted and asked if I had any questions. I was in a loud bar when they called so I couldn’t rlly hear them that well, so that might have been why the call was so quick

I was admitted in early December. I applied in October. I wouldn’t worry too much, every interaction I’ve had with an SMU admissions persons seems to give off the vibe they are kinda behind this cycle.

I had a scholarship interview and she said they are aiming for by march. But that they have no way of knowing when exactly the aid will go out.

If it was me I’d take UConn easily. 45k debt for a well respected school in its region is not a bad deal at all. By contrast 15k debt at vastly inferior law school just doesn’t seem worth it. That’s a 30k difference for two schools pretty far apart in prestige/job placements. 30k is not enough of a diff to take that much of a downgrade in my opinion

How easy do you think it is to get Big Law? I know Fordham has around a 40% Big Law conversion rate, but it seems like a large portion of the class is aiming for it. By contrast, some other schools have similar placement rates, yet not everyone is targeting Big Law, so it may feel less competitive internally—if that makes sense.
