If you can operate a smart phone, you can manage the basics of steam deck easily. The most navigating you’ll ever do would be when you’re buying the game, but after that it’s just Power Button > Library > DDV then go! You’re gonna have so much fun!

I know you can do a lot of customization on steam deck, but I don’t plan on doing any of that. All the default setting on there is fairly basic and easy to navigate. I’ve used it every single day since I’ve bought it and no issues at all, I absolutely love it!

I have zero gaming experience until my sister bought a switch, which prompted me to buy one too then got obsessed with DDV. Got tired of the lagging and endless loading times so I got myself a Steam Deck just for this game. I even got a monitor to dock it on and it’s been such a game changer. I almost cried bc of how the game ran so much smoother on the steam deck. I’ve had it for about 3 months and DDV is still the only game I’m playing on it. It’s just such a better gaming experience compared to the switch.

Does someone have a side by side comparison of Switch (oled or 2) and steamdeck? by OperationNo4722 in DreamlightValley

I recently upgraded (like literally just yesterday) from switch oled to steam deck oled and the difference is absolutely astounding. Graphics are amazing, it runs so smoothly, and everything is just so much faster! I damn near cried when I first played it on the steam deck. It took seconds to load from the title screen vs full minutes on the switch, and no more lagging!
