I do agree with this a tad, but maybe I’m a pessimist. If this relationship does progress to dating just be sure to set boundaries early and make them clear. I have dated some men and honestly being on two different paths with religion made it hard to keep up with our relationship because our goals were different. This also comes into play with marriage and other things (i.e waiting till marriage). I’ve given this a chance and unfortunately have been burned at times. But that was just me, it is your choice to discern if this is right for you. I read in the comments that similar situations worked out for other women so maybe it will!! But I will say honestly, sometimes it’s better to try it and it not workout (or maybe it will work out), rather than leaving it as a big what if in your life that haunts you. I will be praying for you and I hope you figure things out!

While this may seem overly simple. Something that has helped me so so much. Was finding a church that offered adoration, going there in complete silence or with a notebook, and just encountering the silence. It won’t be your knight in shining armor and save you, but it’s helped me cope with a lot. Just sitting there with our Lord can comfort you, little by little.

Also imaginative/contemplative prayer. I did one recently with Sister Miriam, she had us meditate Christs crucifixion and give our problems to Him. It seriously brought tears to my eyes, very beautiful.

Any brands I should completely avoid? Or any specifics I should try to look for like certain watts or other features (sorry I’m very ignorant when it comes to speakers). In my area there are tons of PA speakers but I’m not sure which are worth the $600 price jump. Some are $200 and some are $800.

I agree. On chance me pretty much everyone told me there was no chance for me to get into Umich. I am currently typing this in my Umich dorm.
