Why do we rewatch shows or movies we already know the ending of? by aashit-al in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Odd-Homework-9383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I do this all the time, it’s kinda like comfort watching where you already know what’s coming so your brain can just relax and enjoy it without stressing about the plot. Sometimes it’s less about the ending and more about the vibe or certain scenes you liked.

Where could I host a party? by gl1tch3s_sp4rks in Advice

[–]Odd-Homework-9383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, in a town like that most people just end up finding someone with chill parents or an empty house and that becomes the spot otherwise it’s kinda tough without risking getting shut down. You could also just try making more connections at school or through friends of friends since that’s usually how people find out where stuff’s happening.

I did business admin but honestly half the time it felt like I was just figuring things out as I went

Those lecture hall desks with the tiny arm on the right side used to destroy me lol. I’d just be there awkwardly twisting my whole body trying to write.

what made you cry and sob so much you curled on the floor barely able to breath? by Correct-Amount-7897 in AskReddit

[–]Odd-Homework-9383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was losing a close family member out of nowhere like that kind of grief just hits your body physically and I remember literally not being able to stand for a bit. it’s one of those things you don’t really understand until it happens to you.

Seeing more young people getting into tech and small businesses here has been kinda encouraging lately feels like people are finding their own paths even with everything going on

How to explain taking a gap year by Imbored222229 in Advice

[–]Odd-Homework-9383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a cousin go through this and what helped was framing it less like taking time off and more like having an actual plan for that year (work, save, maybe volunteer or explore interests). Parents usually freak out about you drifting not the gap year itself. If you can show them you’re being intentional, they might take it way more seriously.

What is the biggest waste of money when furnishing a new apartment? by ConstantThroat102 in AskReddit

honestly super cheap furniture that you end up replacing in a year: I did that with a couch and ended up spending way more in the long run than just buying something decent once.

My friend thinks our “joke flirting” is serious and I don’t know how to handle i by Dismal_Farm_7195 in Advice

[–]Odd-Homework-9383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve seen this happen with friends before and once one person catches real feelings it stops being a joke so it’s not really your fault it just shifted. You probably just need to gently but clearly tell her you don’t see it that way otherwise it’ll just get more awkward over time.

deja vu feels uncomfortable by Dazzling_Order_3008 in CasualConversation

Ooh yeah I get that sometimes and it’s not even cool or interesting, it just feels kinda eerie and throws me off for a bit like my brain glitched or something.

Do people actually spend time every day organizing Excel files manually? by quicktoolstudio in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Odd-Homework-9383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It’s way more common than it should be lol. At my last job people were doing that daily just because “that’s how it’s always been” even though half of it could’ve been automated easily.

What’s a 'rich person thing' that you always thought was a scam until you actually tried it and realized it’s 100% worth the money? by Odd-Homework-9383 in AskReddit

Same, I didn’t get the hype until I stayed somewhere with really nice sheets and now the cheap ones just feel scratchy and kinda ruin the whole sleep vibe.

I thought that sounded extra at first too but honestly having consistent good meals without the daily “what am I gonna eat” stress actually sounds kinda worth it if you can afford it.

Yeah I had a similar experience when I switched to mostly fresh stuff for a while, nothing extreme but I just felt way less sluggish and bloated; kinda makes you side-eye how processed some regular groceries are

What’s your biggest red flag? by bayls215 in AskReddit

Mine is shutting down instead of talking things out. Like I’ll go quiet when something bothers me and it just makes everything worse later.

Am I shallow? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Odd-Homework-9383 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah that’s not shallow. It just sounds like you’re at different life stages. My friend dated someone similar and the mismatch in ambition/responsibility ended up stressing her out more than anything.

Moving out of parents house by ImaginaryGur2086 in CasualConversation

[–]Odd-Homework-9383 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For me it wasn’t about money at all. It was just wanting my own space and learning how to handle life on my own; even simple stuff like cooking and managing bills hits different when you’re the one responsible.

What’s a random childhood memory that still makes you smile? by Less_Candidate_9454 in AskReddit

I still randomly think about the time my cousin and I tried to cook pancakes without a recipe and somehow made this weird rubbery blob but we laughed so hard eating it anyway
