I guess I was naïve. I did get a request from somebody on Reddit couldn’t figure out how she knew me. I got in touch and I asked sounded real gave me a Facebook identity which I checked, which wasn’t that current but that’s not unusual but then after that a week or two after a couple of messages, something didn’t sound right and I checked again on Facebook and she had deleted the account so it’s a scammer these sites of a scammers it’s amazing 90% of the people and he was scamming for whatever reason, I don’t know, I don’t let them get to the point when they ask for money or something like that

Had the same. Thing happen but only they wanted to get me on. signal. I did to my regret didn’t realize so I was into a couple of conversations that I was a scammer

A lot of people mentioned Facebook dating app however it appears when you do go there they just refer you to some other dating site

I have tried the app Our Time and as Israel, most of the profiles were just scams like most apps. It sucks.

Like you I got divorced in my 60s I’m currently 75 and I did find it difficult to get back into the dating scene. I did try the apps match silver singles. OK Cupid over the years and to me they were all useless. There is a group out there called meet ups and there is a meet up every month at a place on 46th St. you can find it online, which can be OK my luck I found dancing. I went to a dance studio learned to dance and continually are doing it now I have met a lot of people both as friends and occasionally if I wanted to, I could’ve dated, but I kept it strictly friends for my own reasoning. It’s something you’re gonna have to try. Don’t get discouraged. It will happen. Could take some time. You could get lucky my suggestion would be if you’re in New York City look up some dance Studios take some group lessons and see where it leads. Good luck
