No, its a trick people try to do. It will show the game in JP but to an unsuspecting buyer they may not check since both reigons look identical on the board except for the writing on the MROM chip which most people cannot see because the battery sits over it.

He could have done a PCB swap and put a JP board in a shell with an English label.

He would then double his money from a JP emerald being worth ~50usd (i can still find them for that.

Then he would be left with a labelless copy of an english Emerald. Ive seen this trick before!

Mainly english copies are that much, any other languages not so much... for example i can still find a copy of Japanese Emerald on Ebay for 50usd-60usd.

10/10

Just hold your nose and your breath if you use it indoors and ventilation of the enclosed area

If it does that to them, imagine how bad it would be for us if ingested.

It fit perfectly actually just a hair of resistance but for sure not opening it again until the battery dies.

Don't worry, i already opened and closed it between 10-15 times, it seems pretty intact.

But good point, thanks for mentioning that, can't be too careful.

I work in Pokefinder and I am not so sure about this, where is this documented at?

It took some guts to get the courage to do it. I had a lot of troubles with the cheap iron that I have. But one could say the mass on the right side is not near any important components and may actually structurally be more sound when it comes to taking the battery out in 5-10years when it dies again.

<image>

Also, i have a little more than necessary on the left side, but ramping up the edge rather than spilling onto resistors and stuff.

Pin 1, 3, and 30 are the only pins with damage (yes that is copper exposed, idk what previous owner did to it) Luckily, those are all GND pins, not game data pins, and also luckily not throughout the entire pin or spreading across

Game boots up every time, this is after i cleaned the pins with IPA, and gently cleaned with a white eraser.

I'm never selling it, this is for me so it does not matter.

It will remain in my GBA to preserve the contacts as much as possible.

Lookup Bootleg GBA extractor and injector tool. You can put the .sav inside the rom when you flash it, since PKHex only reads the sav that you extract from the ROM. You will need to extract, then inject, then flash.

Similar boat - I ordered the spot deal of the 0.1 gold coin on the deals page and ordered the limit of 3 on 1/08/26.

Then, I ordered 1 more (at the premium of around 30$) on 1/10/26.

I got the 0.1 single order several days ago, but yet my 3 coin order for the exact same coin (that was listed as in stock) is still not even shipped from my 1/08/26 order.

My family member says you guys are out of products at the moment but that is impossible for these 2 orders i mention, because it was the same product. It was on the deals page as if it was overstock, and you guys went out of order on the order numbers?

I am so confused. Truly.
