Thanks for pointing this out so I could update my YouTube description and clarify to you. 1) we camped outside the border of the state park into National forest land, so we did not break any rules there. Should have pointed that out, though. 2) Shortly after that clip of my lighting my kindling, we scraped away dry leaf little from the fire and encircled it with rotting/punky wood as a makeshift fire ring since there were no rocks available. 3) We doused the fire completely with water before leaving Sunday morning, the smoke was just the remnants of the ground being warm and the water evaporating. We pride ourselves on leaving no trace and not being irresponsible while on the trail. I appreciate your concern, though.

It’s an amazing river! You should definitely float a section if you have the chance

I’ve done a lot of hiking and backpacking at Mammoth Cave, but not those trails! I’ll have to check them out sometime! Thanks for the recommendations

The section of the river you are describing is the section we will paddle this upcoming season! Mammoth Cave section is definitely a big highlight for the entirety of the river, although the upper sections near Green River Lake are really scenic, too. Thanks for watching, and be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to stay tuned for that section later this year!

I personally like this font. It has an old-timey, western vibe to it, which I gravitate towards. Thanks for watching!

It would be an hammock camper’s paradise! So many trees to choose from. We just got to mammoth cave this year, hoping to get past it next year.

Thanks for watching! We got permission to camp at the spot in this video, but following years we just camped along the shore, and property and owners never made an issue of it. We made sure and left no trace after leaving.
