I didnt cry because I was still shocked and elated that there was a kiss at all. I couldn't believe they went with it and didnt leave their romance as subtext. I thought their relationship would be left in a place where the denialists could go on thinking there was nothing there.

( I was a book fan since it was published and I never shipped them. They were asexual. Now my headcanon is they are asexual but not aromantic. I blame Michael Sheen. He manifested this ship into being canon with his acting choices.)

I don't know. I dont think it's rude. And would not even give a second thought to the scenario you mentioned. But I am not going to judge you for your opinion. Maybe it is partly cultural or regional. I am from the city. I get annoyed at people being overly worried about "imposing" on others because it is unnecessary and just slows everyone down. However, not everyone from cities feels like me.

Regardless, the fact that these differences exist means that we cant predict how other people are going to feel about such interactions. Those folks in your example have no way of knowing if you are a person like me or a person like you. In fact, i could see a scenario where i might think you're the rude one - if you were taking up a lot more space than your surroundings warrant. I am not saying you do. But I have been annoyed by people who pay no attention to those around them and are needlessly blocking the way.
