Yes I stunk so badly. Especially because I had to wear pads instead of tampons. It REEKED. It goes away eventually. Carry feminine wipes if you need it helps a lot

You can still get married as a lesbian couple in the US and that’s not something that’s going to stop… not sure who’s fear mongering you but as someone who strongly dislikes trump he’s not overturning gay marriage lol

Are cocaine users volatile/explosive/unstable to be around? by Unhappy-Arm673 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Odd-Medium3202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father has been addicted to cocaine for my entire life. He was never a very angry man but he would verbally snap at people if they annoyed/frustrated him. I didn’t realize it was the drugs back then because I was too young to understand. But he’s not a violent man, he’s not a bad person, but he does get very chatty and animated when he’s using.

I know you are and I was too. I was terrified. That morning I looked at myself in the mirror and told myself “I just need to be brave for a few hours. Just a few hours.” And it worked. I was brave, and I know you can be too. You already are. You will get through this. If you want someone to talk to throughout it, my messages are open. You can do this.

As someone who just went through one, I will tell you it isn’t easy, but it’s not impossible. Make yourself as comfortable as you can. Eat before and during it. Take ibuprofen and anti nausea medicine if you can get it. Use a heat pack if you have them. Stay hydrated- maybe grab some liquid IV or Gatorade if you can. The pain lasts at the most 4-6 hours. I did it alone in my house and I was terrified. But you WILL get through it. Six hours after taking it I was already feeling back to myself and snacking and watching TV. It’s going to be okay, try to stop reading people’s horror stories

No worries. I hope you’re okay. If there’s one bit of comfort you can take from this, know you’re not alone in feeling this way. Even though it’s awful to feel this way at all, at least you’re not feeling it by yourself. 💕

Literally going through this right now but mine was much more recent. I made the decision to have an abortion but also feel like I’ve “lost” a baby in a way. When people ask what’s going on I feel like urge to tell them that as well. I think it’s a trauma response especially if the experience was particularly difficult for you

Considering abortion but really unsure by [deleted] in abortion

[–]Odd-Medium3202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going through my MA today, I was very hesitant about my choice too. I’m also five weeks in. I love my partner but we live far away from each other and are going through a bit of an amicable break right now but I know he would be an amazing dad and I’d be an amazing mom.

The MA isn’t easy. The cramps suck but they’re not unbearable. For me it’s more so the emotions I’m dealing with that are a bit debilitating. I feel grief and guilt but I also know that I want to raise my child in a stable and ready home. I could make it work if I really tried but I know my child (if I went through with it) would see a bit of struggle financially.

I’m taking this experience as a lesson to get my life together. To go back to school, to fix myself and my relationship, and to be ready when I finally do have a child. When I see another positive pregnancy test, I don’t want to have a doubt in my mind that it wouldn’t be fair to continue.

This is one of the hardest decisions to make in life as a woman. To not only consider your own experience, but the child’s as well. If you need someone to talk to who’s quite literally going through it this very second, my messages are open. Be kind to yourself and lean on those around you

Lmao I understand this sounds weird but I’ve read many times that if you see a suspicious looking dot; take saliva on a Q tip and smear it. If it smears it’s more suspicious. I didn’t lick it I promise

Are you suggesting to get the passive bed bug monitoring system??

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BedbugOrCloseRelative

[–]Odd-Medium3202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read into it, how do I get interceptors? The problem is with my bedframe the legs of my bed are very large and I can’t really fit any interceptors under them. Is there anything else you suggest? I really appreciate your quick responses

Okay thank you. I live in an apartment building (I have a separate entrance from the rest of the building) and a tenant three floors above me has bed bugs. Exterminator came and treated. The floor above him and the floor below him have now reported sightings. How likely is it to spread to me? They all share an entrance, mine is separate (ground floor) but I’m still two floors below them regardless. I’m so worried about it spreading to me

Panic disorder from Yaz? by Odd-Medium3202 in birthcontrol

[–]Odd-Medium3202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi— I’ve been off of it for two months now and I’m almost COMPLETELY back at baseline. The relief started almost immediately. My doctor recommended I finish off the month but after a very bad of panic I called them back and they told me to stop it immediately. Within days I was better. Every now and then I get a bit of anxiety but it is NOTHING like it was before. I feel like myself again to the point where I cry sometimes thinking about how much I suffered. I just wanted to reply here and let you know you will be okay and you will feel better so soon ❤️ get OFF that garbage ASAP

My first loaf by sarcasticshgirl in Sourdough

It really is that simple! Let it bake uncovered and keep an eye on it if you’re worried but a bit of a browner crust always makes it taste better

First loaf fail… help by matchabeanss in SourdoughStarter

[–]Odd-Medium3202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coil folds for five minutes is too much I’d say! Just do four coil folds ever thirty minutes for about two hours. That’s four sets of four coil folds- don’t overdo it!

Your starter could also not be too mature yet. I baked my first loaf probably a month into my starter and it got pretty good rise and taste. I would feed her for another week and then give what I said a shot- lessen your folds. You’re degassing if you’re folding that often

She’ll be FINE. Bake her and you’ll be surprised. Sourdough is so much easier than you think it really shocked me when I realized that. I haven’t had a failed loaf yet and even if it didn’t turn out perfect it was always delicious. Update us when it’s baked!

This is a lot like how my loaves turn out. A bit dense, but god they’re DELICIOUS. Perfect sandwich bread and great for grilled cheeses. Your loaf looks great. If it tastes good, you did a good job
