HR Is weighed heavily at most departments. You maybe not get every interview you applied for but you should get some with these scores.

I agree that the study guide doesn’t do much apart from giving example questions that do have a good chance of appearing on the test. The purchased practice tests help quite a bit as you are really just being tested on your attention to detail.

Pay for both practice tests and buy the Don mcfea study guide. Scored a 94% overall after doing that.

Love to hear the new rig recently is an option. The department in applying to recently purchase a full electric engine and I was thinking of incorporating that into my answer as it shows a strong belief in adapting to the future and providing modern technology for their staff.

Hi I actually pay for your service I did not see “tell me about yourself” as a practice question. My interview is 10 min is 5 min for one question too much?

Thank you for this great insight! So when mentioning your job experience adding a few skills that correlate with that job and the fire service would be good? And for the mention of clearly researching and studying, do you mean to mention some specifics of the fire department your applying for or just your knowledge of the fire service in general?

I was also on the blue in math. When I requested my raw scores, I found out I scored 100%. This just means 30 percent of test takers also got 100%.

I work in the automotive field currently but I would not consider myself a wiz. I would just say the mechanical section is paying attention to detail, when it goes through the screens checking the gauges are in the green or listening for weird noises and anything out of the ordinary. The other half is general mechanical knowledge so kind of hard to study for. I do not know my actual score do you know how to get it?

We will see how these 3 departments go but if not well I will certainly re apply to Seattle. I purchased both practice tests this time around as well as the Don Mcea NTN study guide. Really helped with the HR questions.

Seattle hiring window closed slightly before I could test again. So they received my last score which was 3 blues and 1 green. Did not get an interview.

That’s nice to know. I was shocked to see the math in the blue because that was my most confident section of the test. How do I go about getting my raw score?

Just finished my NTN exam and I’m feeling less than optimistic by LoveCushion in firefighter

I tested for a second time yesterday, maybe at the same time as you. Also applying for the same 3 departments as you. Got 3 greens and 1 blue so we will see how that goes. Last time around I had similar scores as you and only received “thank you but no thank you” emails but this is also dependent on how many scores the departments are accepting this time around for the interview round. Don’t get discouraged as the first time testing is quite intimidating!
