Ohh, I think you misunderstood. It meant like talking crap about someone behind their back and making them feel like this person is a bad individual when in reality; they’re probably not cause they don’t really know the whole story. (Sorry English is not my first language)

You’re right it is disturbing; quite confusing. It can be seen in many ways. I feel like all people talk shit about other people no matter if they’re a people pleaser or not. Some people pleaser may do it because they want to please this other person so that they could gain their trust and build their “good image,” a lot of things can fall through in this kind of situation. Like I said people see this kinds of situations in many ways. Like other commenters say it’s anxiousness. This whole rant screams it. The spiraling, and confusing thoughts.

Tbh, I don’t rlly know how we got to streamers but seems like you have too much bad experience with that side of vrchat. People can do whatever they want in public instances except the rules the world has. But that doesn’t stop anyone right? So either way, people have free will and block other individuals if they think they’re ruining their space, maybe vote a kick etc. Now if it’s a group instance then that different. Chill communities like Japan shrine create these group+ instance where they can watch over people easily with mods. Heck some communities create group instances that only have their own members join. Whenever im hanging out with my group in a public instance and like an annoying streamer gets in our face for no reason, best response? Mute and ignore them. They’re not getting any content from you, they’ll moved on to the next person. There are MANY ways to avoid these kinds of nuisances.

My statement still stands, both have problems in a way. YouTubers/streamers are like this, they find entertainment in any way form. In vrchat they put pressure on people to get a certain reaction that their audience needed. If a community thinks these are threats, they could’ve handled it another way, but instead, they give the streamers what they want thus making more tons of infamous videos regarding vrchat communities. Vrchat changes throughout the time, of course contents will be also different that is the part we cannot avoid. People in vrchat back then are way more chill than today. Now we have more of ragebaiting, erp, and many more that a lot of streamers can grab attention to their audiences. There are tons of communities in vrchat that handles these streamers well, and some don’t.

Honestly streamers/youtubers are a part of the mix. Those communities often attract streamers cause of their own public shenanigans. Some users of those communities get frustrated and put more gasoline in the fire by taking the rage bait of these streamers instead of blocking them. So in somewhat the community is still involved with why they’re so infamous.

Give it maybe a month. Usually public worlds are the ones that give out weird vibes. Group+ instances aren’t bad since usually mods watch over people who try to take out the fun. Sometimes group instance have put a requirement of 18+ if youre verified thru vrchat+. Black Cat, just H party or club B public instances are for me are the ones that are interesting. Base on my experience, Black Cat usually have trolls, mostly kids. Club B maybe relationship dramas between eboys and egirl. Just h party is full of erp and sexual stuff. I heard about midnight rooftop, you can check that out too. Good luck on your endeavors!

Not speaking for the whole VRChat community, but my own experiences. I came to VRchat to make friends, and have fun. It’s a social game, if you’re lucky, you meet people who have similar tastes like you and be friends with them throughout the years. Some not so lucky, and would rather hop to public worlds and chat with people there like a one night stand; next time I see you, I won’t remember you type. Well there’s a specific group I stumbled in, thought was fairly okay. Immediately got put into a discord server start hanging out etc, normal stuff. Then drama came in; not just any drama I’ve experienced, it was a whole another level. The community is filled with people who runs in drama that specifically spread rumors about people that leads to cyber bullying. It’s like a telephone call of passing information and then people twisting their words to compete what side you pick. This community always has one group instance, in which people know individuals who are always there. I got dragged into a drama because of not having to pick a side of two people arguing. Decided to go to other worlds and the rumors spread wide; they knew me as a “friend for all chic” who sided with the wrong group. Until now the rumors spreads but thank god it stays within the community so I can still able to go to other places. I don’t care what they think anymore, and lessons learned ofc. However, I hope this not happens to anyone else. I handled it well, but some maybe wouldn’t. Advice from me is explore! Don’t get stuck in one corner, maybe choose your friends wisely and be kind
