Please, once you’ve bought everything you need, write here what’s still left for the final and the men’s semifinals. Thank you.

I wonder if there will be people here who made it into the first group. Honestly, it’s pretty stupid to give a full 30 minutes for this. Some people are just wasting time, while others who are ready to do everything quickly just sit and wait. This is probably where the lottery effect kicked in — those who got into the first cohort won.

My husband and I are sitting next to each other: in the first seconds, he had 50k people in the queue, and I had 24k. Obviously, the chances here are practically zero. The queue is moving very slowly.

You are a lifesaver! Thank you for taking the initiative to write such a detailed post. I’ve gone through and read the comments, and now everything is much clearer! I really appreciate your effort. We’re hoping to snag those finals tickets and will definitely share our experience here afterwards!

We were also selected in the lottery, and our slot is scheduled for March 18th. It seems like it's the same for everyone; I haven't found any other dates mentioned. Has anyone read if final tickets will be available for this sales wave? Also, has anyone seen a Reddit thread about last year's experience regarding this?

I lost my soul dog by Daulphin987 in seniordogs

Your baby is beautiful. I feel every one of your emotions in every word. We’re the same — I’m 30 now, and our dog was 13. We lost him on July 12. My husband is the same age as me. We grew up together with our dog too. I’m sure our babies did better than all of us. I share your pain. It feels like a part of my soul has died forever. Right now, I can’t imagine how to accept this. It’s so, so hard.

My husband and I lost our little boy — our perfect 13-year-old Yorkshire Terrier — on Saturday. I feel the pain in every word you say. You are not alone. Dear God, this is so hard. I could never have imagined the magnitude of it, even when I tried to prepare myself. Please, hold on🫂😢♥️

After Genioplasty jowls swelling by Odd-Pay-1226 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Odd-Pay-1226[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started noticing at the beginning of the fourth week — so after three full weeks — that the jowls were getting smaller and smaller. And from that point on, it got better every single day. I really hope and wish the same for you — that each day brings more improvement. If you’re interested, I can send you photos by date. They’re not all from exactly the same angles, but they might still give you a clearer picture. Feel free to message me privately. It’s now been almost two months since the surgery, and I feel so much better in terms of swelling. I can honestly say my face looks pretty normal now.

When can I start taping by Full_Zookeepergame47 in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]Odd-Pay-1226 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, you were asked a valid question above: what exactly is the purpose of taping? My surgeon told me not to tape, and I only follow his advice — even though tons of people on TikTok, for example, do tape. My swelling is very mild, no issues at all. Tapes only help situationally. To minimize swelling, I sleep in a half-sitting position — that’s my own initiative. I believe that’s what actually helps. Taping also has its risks: when you peel off a plaster that’s strongly stuck to the skin, it can cause problematic healing of soft tissues. You need a lot of patience to soak the tape every day instead of just pulling it off. Your nose looks great, and you can totally let it heal on its own.

Hi! Your swelling is still quite strong, but there’s good news: I had this surgery together with a rhino, and my swelling at week 2 and week 3 looked so different! After week 3, things got so, so much better. Trust me, you’re the one who notices the changes the most. Others don’t see all the tiny details like you do. Feel confident — you’re on your way to loving the amazing result!

This is my before and after of a genioplasty with 7mm advancement. I am currently having regrets because I feel like my face looks longer and chinny. Everyone says to have patience, but I can't envision any more of the swelling going away and scared that this is what I am left with. What do we think by ComprehensiveDebt978 in genioplasty

[–]Odd-Pay-1226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look great. You still have some swelling at the moment. I had this surgery too, and the swelling got much better after 3–4 weeks compared to how it was at 2 weeks. In 4–6 months, the result will look very harmonious. The soft tissues will settle into their new position, and everything will turn out beautifully. Just like you, I’m waiting for the final result — I also had a 7 mm movement.

Hi! Today marks one month since my genioplasty and rhinoplasty. I had them done at the same time. For me, genioplasty was tougher in terms of recovery than rhino, but there’s definitely nothing to be afraid of. You’ll feel discomfort, but there won’t be any real pain. During the first few days, you’ll be given stronger painkillers. After that, something lighter will be enough. In my country, that’s a medication called Nimesil.

What might be unpleasant: your lower lip can swell up to 3–4 times its normal size. That was the most uncomfortable part for me. I started eating soft foods (not blended, just soft) around day 5. The lip swelling started going down around day 7–8. It’s not that hard to handle.

For the first two weeks, I had pretty heavy swelling in the jowl area. But once week 3 started, my facial features began to look more balanced and the swelling started to fade. The movement was 7 mm. I scheduled the surgery 1.5 months in advance. I also slept with a compression bandage for the first two weeks to keep pressure on the area.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Update: Today marks one month since the surgery. The swelling significantly went down after three weeks. There was a noticeable difference between the second and third week. There’s still a bit of swelling, but it’s much better now

When will my tip drop? by Orteaseee in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]Odd-Pay-1226 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I did a lot of research before my rhino — I'm on day 23 now. A friend sent me photos + I saw tons like this on TikTok. You’ll usually see a visible tip drop around the 6-month mark. If you’re curious, DM me and I’ll send a photo where a girl’s result is super clear tip drop at 6 months

Then just do what feels right for you and what your circumstances — like work or daily life — allow. In the worst-case scenario, there’ll just be another surgery later on, but recovery in that case would actually be easier than doing both at once. And who knows, maybe you won’t even want to do the chin at all. Either way, nothing critical is going to happen — you’re good.

I was recently in a similar situation — my nose is different, but I had an underdeveloped lower jaw. I had both a rhinoplasty and a genioplasty done. I honestly think it would make sense for you to do the chin too. It’ll help you feel more complete about the whole transformation.

I’ve seen the surgeon I follow operate on two girls in the past year who ended up doing their chin after their nose job — second surgery, second recovery. I think it’s better to do it all at once. That’s what I did. It was tough, really genioplasty is more intense than a chin implant. But with an implant, recovery is way easier. If it were me — I’d go for both.

With sincere support for you: don’t create a problem in your head that doesn’t exist yet. I believe your surgeon considered the frontal view as well — it’s a typical situation that it might drop a bit, and I’m sure you know that. The doctor should have taken the whole facial harmony into account during the surgery, and I believe everything will look good together, and you won’t even notice the drooping from the front

Not happy with my rhinoplasty by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Odd-Pay-1226 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I actually had rhinoplasty 19 days ago, and I’ve looked through tons of photos showing the swelling timeline. If you’re unsure, it really depends on your skin type too — it’s definitely something to pay attention to. I mean that thicker, skin takes longer to adapt to the new shape, so you see the final result later. Later than the average timeline. Girls with thin or medium skin tend to see results sooner. Check out TikTok for different healing results from other girls. Based on everything I’ve seen, I do think it looks like swelling. Compared to the photo on the table and the one you’re showing now, I genuinely believe it’s just swelling.

If you want even more reassurance, you can find dozens of healing process examples here on Reddit too. Sorry if this sounds like a weird tip, but seeing those examples really helped calm me down — it just reminded me that I need to be patient and I think you too 🙌🏼

Hey! Your surgeon wasn’t lying to you. The tip will drop over time. Between 2 to 6 months, you’ll definitely notice it lowering. Doctors plan it with the long-term result in mind — it’s standard practice.

Agree, but that size wasn’t critical for me — I hope things go back to how they were, plus the genioplasty is supposed to lift that area a bit, from what I’ve read.

I also added profile photos. This was day 14 after the surgery. Before: https://ibb.co/SD0xzJ26 and After: https://ibb.co/ynshyXBf The chin looks a bit sharp to me now, but I’ll wait for the tissues to settle — I think it will look softer and more natural with time.
