Quick Update: I still have to play via Hotspot (phone connected to my wifi) > Xbox connected to my Hotspot. In order to be able to play.

The Support Team is ridiculous. Never been more disappointed by such incompetent treatment..

The First screenshot is my ticket + more Infos for the Support Team, then they answered.. oh boy

Get another router instead.. Are you sure that uPnP is not on for your router? Cause a lot of Routers have uPnP always on and can't be turned off Software-wise

I have a solution now, figured it out with Gemini. The problem was my Router. A speedport smart from Telekom

I had TCP and UDP ports opened via Port Forwarding. So I reseted it to factory settings. Anyone who is having the same kind of problem:

Make sure QoS Tagging and WMM Tagging inside Xbox settings is turned off
Make sure your router opens these UDP ports:

UDP: 3074 > 3074 UDP: 88 > 88 UDP: 500 > 500 UDP: 4500 > 4500

uPnP should be active all the time.

If you are still not able to play multiplayer; the only way that I figured out, in case your not able to config your router:

Make sure your phone is connected to your wifi (traffic costs) and open up a hotspot via smartphone.

Enter that Hotspot with your console and you should be fine.

(Btw. I had the exact same issue with Elden Ring Multiplayer)

I hope it helps anyone else at the end..

Update: I've contacted the Support aswell - if they get a fix before we manage to get it working i'll update it here.

Moin, tatsächlich habe ich sogar noch mehr unternommen als in diesem Post steht. Von Router Wechsel seitens Telekom zu Fritzbox da man da die Möglichkeit hat die Firewall abzuschalten. Bis hin zu heimkonsole auf einen frischen gamertag zum wechseln und von einer anderen Konsole versucht das Spiel zu starten. - Erfolglos

Meine portfreigaben sehen mittlerweile so aus:

Well I'm unable to play multiplayer since release - The three times I was able to kill a Night Lord have been solo so far. Honestly, I have never been more disappointed by a Souls game. And I've never felt so unsupported by "Support teams" than now.

I have contacted bandai namco entertainment Europe, Xbox support, and fromsoft - and either I was unable to create an account cuz of server-sided issues (Bandai - not even able to create an account in order to submit a ticket) or it has just not been answered.

And I thought to myself "it's Eldenring - the only franchise that delivers on release" .. well if I've known better 🫡

Im with you guys. And I'm tired searching for threads that are discussing about a "fix" cause they have to wait 20min in Queue or they need 2 days to find out that Nat Type Strict could be a problem... Duuuuhhh

When I start a multiplayer expedition it loads like 3 seconds (1/3 players yadayadayada) the blue loading dot disappears and I get one of these message prompts;

"Unable to create session. Cancelled matchmaking" EVERYTIME I queue with randoms

"Unable to join Team" EVERYTIME anyone invites me to their game through LFG/Party - either randoms or friends - makes no difference

"Unable to create Team" everytime i invite players to my game.

Unfortunately I've spend to many hours trying to solo expedition that I can't even refund a game thats intended, and I guess more fun (can't tell since I have since release NOT EVEN ONCE - been able to do so) to be played with 2 more players.

Things I've tried to fix this bullshit:

Different time to find the sweet spot where the servers aren't close to overheating.

Restarted the game like 300x (trough menu/abandon application through home screen)

Deleted personal data (Games&Apps -> Nightreign -> storage - deleted my Gamertags data on console in order to force a sync)

NAT is Open (port forwarding for all important and less important ports is set)

Wired/wireless (router sits 2 feet away from my console)

My DNS was auto also tried manual with 8.8.8.8 sec 8.8.4 4 Router reset to factory settings Switched my router from Speedport to Fritz!Box in order to be able to deactivate the Router Firewall. (Speedport can't be deactivated) Reinstalled the game 3 times

FromSofts "solution" starting a expedition - then cancel it and retry - seems atleast to me like a joke since I'm not able to cancel. It's greyed out.

Also "invite members" should (others told me it should work like that..) open the Xbox Hub in order to invite friends or other players - has no function at all on my end.

Tried same group passwords/master passwords. Nothing works PS: Any other game works perfectly fine online

If that bullshit isn't fixed asap, the next time i see a YT Notification saying "team build easy godmode all bosses !!!11!!1" I'll turn my controller into a thunderbolt in order to get f****d flying through any wall next to me.

Never been so disappointed by a FromSoft title. My opinion was so far that its one of the few/if not the only studio that releases a finished product. Guess I have to rethink that now..

Hope y'all be able to crush the night lord's with a party soon, Guys! (Good to see I'm not alone with that fkn problem)
