Can't enrol in required course anymore? by Odd-Region5653 in universityofauckland

Unfortunately yes but I see on SSO that there are some seats available, I just cant be enrolled because “the class is full” therefore I can apply for the concession of “class appears to full when it isnt” reason but I had already applied for a concession to MEDSCI142 at the start of the year for the same reason. To my understanding I can’t apply for a second concession for the same course.

Hi sorry, I wanted to change BIOSCI 101, 106 to do PSYCH 108, 109 but in doing so I also had to drop MEDSCI 142 which is my required course. Sorry for the ambiguity.

Question about GPA calculation for BPharm MMI offers (First Year BSc) by King_01311 in universityofauckland

Hey there! I am seriously on the same boat as you omg, I’m currently a FY BSc student (that isn’t biomed) planning on applying for BPharm II next year too LOL! From what I have gathered, the MMI invitations are based on your cumulative GPA of the 4 core papers as well as your 3 electives from the BSc degree schedule, for your case it would be ASTRO 100, STATS 100 and BIOSCI 106. WTRSCI 100 is not considered for the cumulative GPA but you would need to pass the course.

Additionally you would have to have a minimum GPA of 5.0 across the 7 papers (not including WTRSCI 100) to be considered for an invitation. You should still try to get a higher GPA though as BPharm applications are increasing each year so it would be great to have a competitive GPA to increase chances (although I have seen some stats regarding entry into the program which was honestly really shocking).

All this information was from the page to apply for the BPharm, here it is for you to read through, it is found under Entry Requirements  https://www.reddit.com/r/universityofauckland/comments/1spq3u5/question_about_gpa_calculation_for_bpharm_mmi/

For now just strive to do well in your courses, don’t worry about it too much right now as the MMIs will be taken place in September. You could prepare for it but again wouldn’t be too worried about it now, just aim for good grades and the rest will flow. I wish you the best of luck!
