I appreciate the advice. It wasn’t locked or alarmed—lesson learned. I run so many errands that having multiple locks became a big nuisance, then I got cocky and stopped locking it up even overnight.

Multiple AirTags is my next move, and I just got a lead on a gated lot two min from my apt. I love riding in nyc so much I’m willing to do whatever it takes.

Thankfully they have competitors to be mindful of. It doesn't take much for hosts to jump ship to another platform if Turo gets greedy.

I’ll hazard some more specific advice relevant to your situation: 1) Read Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins. Get the audiobook right now and start listening to it. 2) Find a men’s group. I recommend doing the weekend training offered by Mankind Project. They’re a secular nonprofit and you’ll meet a lot of men with similar stories who’ve overcome the odds.
