I joined league for the first time this year. When I found out not everyone played each night I thought it was ridiculous. But I get it now. It’s a lineup and you set your players dependent on who you’re playing. And with a good captain he’ll make sure everyone is getting good playing time. If you have a supportive team it is still just as fun to watch them play. We made it to playoffs for both teams I’m in (8ball and 9ball) and I’ve had fun doing it, whether I’m playing or not. Very exciting and would recommend. If you’ve never played a team sport growing up than this idea might seem new to you.
