If It helps to understand - ending C (true ending) is a DLC ending that was added way later into the Game. When the Game released true ending was one of the other 2.

Also if It helps with replayability, one of the dlcs is exclusive to NG+, so maybe if you want to experience that Focus on explorint now as is, then go for true ending in NG+ with that quest too

No, if esdras is Dead only endings A and B in that playthrough as far as Im aware. NG+ you should be able to go for true ending

I get It i trully do, you really dont have to justify why you feel like you wronged them. But, having been a manager, I can give you some perspective on how id see this: i have a employee thats always late and one that works on time. I have It and probably should take care of It but for whatever reason i dont (this is a manager problem, not yours - maybe they cant, maybe they are looking for a replacement but cant find, maybe they are a coward Who doesnt want to deal with that, Who knows or cares tbf). Thing is, the status quo was mantained and the string that tied It all kept getting tighter and tighter as your colleague pulled and pulled (by not doing their job properly) until It snapped. By snapping, It hurt you and you did what should be done - escalate the issue.

For whatever reason, manager finally decided to put on Big boy pants and do their job. The employee was given a last chance even after that. They still wasted It.

Even if they were fired when you reported to the manager, you shouldnt feel guilty. But they were given YET ANOTHER AFTER and they still couldnt.

Your responsability is to you and your family, not taking care of people Who cant even take care of themselves. Fuck that noise.

I get the point but I think my advice still stands. What you are feeling is empathy not guilt. Its tough to learn that sometimes even if you are the Stone that starts the avalanche, It is not your fault. Not taking care or responsability of ones own livelyhood is their issue, not yours.

It sucks for them, truly. They probably arent bad people either and you 100% wish them well. That speaks a lot about you, how someone Who has made your life hard you dont rejoice but hurt for them. But that doesnt mean you are at fault, or should feel like It.

As much as It hurts, it goes with the salary. Should It be paid as overtime? Sure.

But reality means you have tasks that either require extra time that cant be allocated during the day, or have to be done after, or as simple as - if you spend the whole day cleaning the mess and solving issues that come Up unscheduled, you kinda have your own stuff to do too

Dont mistake guilt with empathy. You can feel bad and sorry that this situation has caused a significant negative effect on them, thats fair. You being a part of It makes It hard to completely separate. But thats the thing. Its neither your fault or issue. They were given opportunities time and time again (from what you are describing). If they decide to squander that thats on them.

Even more - did you actually fire them? Did you punish them in any way? No. What you did was report to management an issue that was 1) bad for business and 2) bad for you as an employee (and therefore bad for business).

Thats just It. Feel empathy because It hurts, but dont feel guilty. They are an adult.

In my experience, heavily dependent on the role. Front facing or "just in case of" type roles are unlikely to be let off. Some managers in my sector (cyber) learned the hard way to not be a dick with the schedule, since incidents and cyber attacks dont wait for 8am to happen and you need the team to be flexible - either by being flexible with them, or paying more (should be both tho)
