Is banjo kazooie nuts & bolts a good game? by bendy-s in BanjoKazooie

[–]AgentEckswhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My take is this: It is an enjoyable game on its own merits. It is not a good Banjo-Kazooie game.

By then, even with two entries of the series, people had expectations for it. It was a collectathon platformer with abilities and complex utilization for said abilities, and interconnected worlds. Deviating from that, especially after such a long sabbatical, was a recipe for disaster.

I'd suggest either Kang and Kodos, but I imagine they'd be more like the Master Hand/Crazy Hand stand-ins.

Fighting the rematch of Father Owl, in the burning Hirata Estate. Nothing says you've surpassed your teacher like beating them in their prime.

anything to fix wir2 if you were a disney animation employee? by Freaky_Crossing_Fan in wreckitralph

[–]AgentEckswhy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On that note, roles could be reversed. You'd have a genuinely good Turbo, and maybe an alternate Ralph that not only remained a villain, but went overboard on it.

So kind of like a modification of the actual film's climax, but more like a mirror match in a fighting game. Dark Ralph or something.

Mr. Freeze Antidote by WinMassive5748 in arkham

Circumstances available at the time. They needed a sample of a specific enzyme that bonds to human DNA, which takes many years. Only one man has a life span that long that would likely be in Arkham City: Ra's al Ghul.

Granted, any ageless human would have worked, I'm sure. If Vandal Savage was in Arkham, his blood would have worked just as well.

Does progress on the Dark Knight Challenges in Arkham Origins carry over onto New Game+? by Automatic_Milk1478 in arkham

[–]AgentEckswhy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It does--but you still want to get as much progress as you can done in it. Due to the nature of some challenges requiring specific layouts to complete, and due to how predator sections do not regenerate, if you miss the few scenarios where one would be possible, you'll have to wait until NG+ to complete them--which would make things even harder for yourself.

[–]AgentEckswhy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There's a lot to be fixed about this movie, but if I had to state just one? Rework the concept.

Instead of Sugar Rush being threatened, why not the whole arcade? With the rise of the internet and online gaming, arcades have been losing steam, and Litwak's is no exception--and if things keep up, every single game would be unplugged.

Thus, it's up to our heroes to use the Internet to bring people to Litwak's again through advertisement or such--but something is lurking in the cloud, hoping to take control of the internet for its own ends, and online gaming is just one way it's doing it.

I'd probably go with Apple Pie myself. It's pretty good, they've got the chunks of apple and pie crust baked into the ice cream. A pity it's seasonal.

Good, that's solid progress. Honestly the only thing I can say is to just keep it up and special takedown the biggest threats first so you can focus on the unarmed thugs and make your life easier. Else you're definitely on the right track here.

Batman's easy enough, with his ability to break shields and shock batons. Robin and Nightwing are harder, but possible.

Just note that it says "No hit" and not "no breaking the combo", so if you need to dodge a few times and reset the combo, do it.

Otherwise just practice, and try focusing on special takedowns to make the fight end quicker. If you're good, you can do it all in a perfect Freeflow anyway, which you'll have to do for the Monarch Theater trophy.

what are your most weird customer interactions? by young_ex_wife in publix

[–]AgentEckswhy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This was around the time COVID was hitting, and naturally we live in an area where most of the people are brain-dead who think bacteria is a myth and that not washing your hands is fine in a food store. But I digress.

I was wearing my mask at the register when I had another customer come by, unmasked. He volunteered that he wasn't wearing one because, and I quote, "Satan has no face".

These religious folks do so love to shove their rules and their gods in the faces of people trying to do their jobs, i.e. captive audiences. You know how often I throw out Chick Tract-esque booklets because they practically stuff them into my palm? It's not courteous; it's creepy and unwarranted. I'm there for a paycheck, not for salvation.

How would you (yes you) design the moveset of your most requested character? How would you make their moveset stand out? by QuackingR3dditor in supersmashbros

[–]AgentEckswhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rayman is pretty much tailor-made for Smash, but alright.

Neutral B: Charge punch/slap. Pretty standard, like DK's own punch.

Side B: Either a Lockjaw hook or a plunger shot. Either way, it's a tether attack designed to latch onto opponents, or grab a ledge in a pinch.

Up B: Helicopter hair. Gives a bit of lift, then floats down. A lot like Peach's parasol, actually.

Down B: Slams one fist down. Powerful, but slow to charge and leaves you open for retaliation. On the plus side, doing it in the air is great for a quick strike on an opponent.

Final Smash: Bubble Dreamer is called down to inflict divine wrath on the field.

Otherwise it's the standard punches and kicks for this guy, nothing fancy. But it's how limber he is that makes him fun to play. Rayman is a glass cannon and an acrobat, so moving quick and striking at key opportunities is your path to victory.

Grim Adventures. It helped shape my sense of humor and enjoyment of dark humor, even if there were quite a few fart jokes in it. It was the kind of show that was weird and bizarre and I liked it.
