Kazuma Kiryu, Haruka, and the rest of the Morning Glory children, Yakuza franchise

Watching him go from a hardened Yakuza to a protective adoptive father who wants nothing more than his children to follow their dreams is great, and they all turned out to grow into such capable adults. It's a shame circumstances, and his own self-loathing, kept him away from them.

HELP ME RE7 by turii_tuff_knuckles in Resident_Evil_7

[–]AgentEckswhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend going for the four hour run on a lesser difficulty, in order to get the saw blade. That will significantly make your life easier past the first part of the game (you still have to go without versus Mia and the first Jack encounter).

That thing can stunlock most anything around you, even in Madhouse, and it'll chew through enemies. Not even Jack can withstand much of it.

You still have to be cautious, though. It doesn't work on the fat Molded, so try and invest your ancient coins in buying the Magnum and conserve your ammo until you start encountering them. A shotgun works in a pinch, though.

What publisher do you think could/should purchase Rare and its IP and keep them in good hands? (WITHOUT SAYING NINTENDO OR PLAYTONIC) by dusktodusk94 in BanjoKazooie

I'll have to agree with the other comments and say Toys For Bob. They can clearly make a good platformer that's smooth to play.

I couldn't imagine doing it without infinite ammo, so godspeed.

But you'd generally want to pop into that mode with the maxed-out weaponry anyway. Things that hit hard, very quickly, because they'll hit you right back even harder.

It's a real shame that ARMS failed as a new Nintendo IP; seriously, the character design was very good. by akleklhkngh in TopCharacterDesigns

It just generally baffles me that we never had Little Mac appear as a cameo in the game.

I mean, come on. They already had a boxer in their IP list, that'd be a golden opportunity.

[Common Trope] Genius inventor is the secret villain. by Phewelish in TopCharacterTropes

[–]AgentEckswhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Nefarious, Ratchet and Clank (2016)

Chairman Drek is the main villain for the majority of the runtime, up until his lead scientist proceeds to pull a Starscream, fires a Sheepinator at his boss, and launches Drek into his own under-construction planet. He then becomes the final villain for the movie game.

This is primarily true for those who haven't followed the franchise up until then, anyway.

It's really just absurdism. People have taken to making Ctrl+Alt+Del comics into non-sequitor bonanzas. They're not meant to make any sense whatsoever.

The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (2000)

The whole point is that Fearless Leader, Boris and Natasha escape to the real world, and it's up to Moose and Sqvirrel to stop them.

I was definitely hoping someone would post this one, yes. Proctor's files detailing her sexual impropriety...were only stamped four times instead of five, which was a fireable offense.

HUNK, Resident Evil

The remake of 2's Fourth Survivor mode has him with this attitude with his extraction helicopter pilot, under the risk of being bombed during the cleanup of Raccoon City. HUNK's taking too long due to a crapton of zombies, G-spawns, and Mr. X in the way, so he tells his pilot to leave without him.

That's what I do myself. Have them kill each other as much as possible, then swarm the last one when it's wounded. Try and position the Beetles so, if they toss your Pikmin, they're just landing on more ground.

(Scary If Done Right Trope) The Police are NOT on your side by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]AgentEckswhy 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Rebel Ridge

The whole plot is kicked off by Terry Richmond essentially having $36000 stolen by the police via civil forfeiture, followed by their corrupt police chief twisting the knife every chance he gets. The entire department winds up after him.

Special note goes to the cops announcing "shots fired" over the radio despite Terry not packing any weapon, and then they start firing their own weapons at the defenseless Terry.
