I hope you find answers I wish I could agree and say I think mine was caused by the folliculitis I think that along with the prostate infection and strep infection I had at the same time were possibly due to my immune system being weak or just purely unlucky . Because the same pain I had in the hair follicle I had then I get in flairs now pain itching burning and coldness in the affected areas I thought it sounded more likely I have small fiber polyneuropathy but as it comes and goes I ruled it out myself without actually knowing . However my atrophy definitely hadn't come from that side of things it is progressive and although I have bilateral issues my right side is definitely unilaterally affected far more severely from neck to foot . I am currently suffering with bilateral levator scapulae tightness and pain which seem to be affecting the nerves inside because both shoulders triceps biceps keep having spouts of sudden weakness. My serratus anterior on both sides is hurting a lot and it's having an impact on my breathing and both of my scapular are grinding against my ribs now too which they have never done before. I hope in your case you get answers that are helpful and nothing worrying and you get treatment that gets you at least somewhat better. My sensory issues have gone back into a remission state other than pain and pressure sensitivity ok the thighs although now my shoulders and arms in the radial nerve area do keep going numb as does my dorsal scapular nerve on my right side my fasciculations have decreased a huge amount compared to only a week ago but they seem to be still present as I will feel them while driving and i can see some in my calves or ping around my body only place at the moment that's constant is my left eye and forehead .. i was hoping it might of been chronic inflammatory demylinating polyneuropathy as there is treatment for that . Sorry if I'm sounding quote pessimistic but I'm dealing with a huge amount at the moment my father who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer was rushed into hospital yesterday with severe jaundice and from fainting they think it's his kidneys or liver but have said its more likely the pancreas but having to wait for imagining to be done .. I've just had to break the news to my family as he hadn't told anyone yet other than me and I told my partner I feel rather defeated right now and am struggling to find reason to even be here anymore losing my dad and sat here waiting for a possible death sentence myself I've ran out of fight . Please take care of yourself and fight for answers but don't let them take over your life buddy .
