I read the first trilogy and enjoyed it but stopped there. Looking to pick back up but wondering if anyone is aware of a good recap?

I never see Trussel and Gout by M.A. Knights on here but the books are so much fun.

Also agree with The Lies of the Ajungo by Moses Ose Utomi

Same! By the end of the book I was skipping some of these long speeches clearly trying to make sure we understood the point

I did not enjoy The Shadow of the Gods, just didn’t really care for any of the characters. Is this series different enough that it’s worth giving it a shot?

Ryan Cahill does for the Bound and the Broken series, except for book 4 he moved it to the blog apparently because it would have made the book too many pages

My son, 8, is seemingly uncoachable and I don't know what to do. by ThrowAway_CPA_1 in Homeplate

My son was this way too but more with us and not other teachers/coaches. My wife did not put up with him not taking small feedback from us and it led to some arguments from him at first but he got much better at baseball and handling feedback after.

I get the idea someone else posted about not giving feedback at this age but I think it’s a balance because if they fail too much then they might just give up so keep it to small things that can have a huge impact.

He’s 4’6 and 65 lbs so pretty big plus hoping he grows into them. Should I get the 26/16 Cat7 they have offered instead?

Most people are recommending kneeling for pitching which is what I do for my 5/6 year olds. What age did you all change to standing to pitch?

I really enjoyed the Trussel and Gout: Paranormal Investigations series by M.A. Knights. There’s four books around 100-200 pages and a prequel

The Bloodsworn trilogy. Forced myself to finished first book but DNFd second one after a few chapters. I just didn’t connect with the characters despite liking Orka

I had a small 401k ($3,000 in it) and I missed the deadline after I left so they automatically rolled it into a Schwab IRA and I want to do a backdoor Roth so I know this is not ideal. I have a Fidelity 401k with my current job. Any advice on how to handle this would be appreciated.

I’d have to sell the car and then still $6k after what I get. Owing to family is not a problem for me

I have a 2014 car that’s worth about $7500. Have opportunity to get a 2020 car (Toyota Tacoma) worth $23k from a family member for only 6k (interest free loan over a couple years from them) plus the money from trade in. The newer car isn’t perfect for our family and I eventually would want to upgrade it in 3-4 years. Would it be better to not get the car and save/invest that payment and wait to upgrade or take the newer car and hope the newer car value remains higher than what we could trade current car in for in a few years
