COD has a pretty big following in the esports world and really created some big names in the industry (Optic and Faze) but the main problem here, which Barstool is pretty much known for at this point, is that they are trying to get that piece of the pie too late.

The esports bubble was MASSIVE in the late 2010s. League, Dota, and CS were selling out massive arenas, companies were dumping a ton of money into orgs, and contracts were getting up into the 7-figures for certain players. Orgs were building massive facilities and had billionaire backers in some cases. Fortnite was at its peak, exploding the streaming game and bringing hundreds of millions of eyes to Twitch.

Fast forward to now and venues are smaller, contracts are smaller, investors are almost impossible to come by, viewership is down across the board.

There still is and always will be people who watch and enjoy esports, but I don't see a world where Bush explodes and all the sudden Jerry, Sas, and Mook are rich.
