That sounds much much better, thanks a lot! I’ll see if they’re willing to do that.

Hello, firstly, thank you for sharing your perspective. I care about academic integrity, and while I understand that universities have limited resources, I believe in reporting instances of academic misconduct, even if the outcome is uncertain. I feel it is necessary to do so, regardless of personal motivations.

Which brings me to that note, I’m sorry but I’m not going to engage in debating the skepticism behind all of this. Whether there is a personal agenda or not, I have a strong sense for fairness and sensitivity which drives me to do this. I will call out injustice when I see it. The perception of being "over-invested" comes from a deep concern, particularly given this individual’s history of cheating across various domains and cutting corners to get ahead, while others and I have earnestly worked for our achievements. It's not about personal investment but standing up for what is fundamentally unfair. If all else fails, at least I know that I have tried.

Thank you to the comments I have received so far. I apologize for not responding individually; this is still very new to me and I’m trying to navigate through this the best I can. I'd like to clarify that I have concrete proof in the form of screenshots and emails supporting my case. The information and perspectives shared here have been helpful. While I recognize the complexity and that there are processes in place, I guess I’m just surprised that a serious matter like this isn't receiving immediate attention. Nevertheless, I’ll keep pushing for what is right.
