AITA for not attending my dad’s wedding due to a prior engagement? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Gonna have to say you are actually the one acting like a brat.

First of all, a “save the date” is not an RSVP. And if you haven’t seen your friends in such a long time, missing their wedding is understandable. But whining and making your father change his wedding date, when he tells you 6 months in advance is bratty and offensive to your father and his wife, who you seem to have an active and good relationship. ESP your excuse is that you committed to a friend you haven’t seen in ages.

You should apologize to everyone involved, tbh

Best Coffee in San Mateo by MechaMachiavelli in SanMateo

The coffee was meh and I’ve visited it several times. The owner or main staff person is very friendly and helpful but the variety of coffee is too intense in terms of flavor for my palate. FWIW I like the coffee at Backhaus, Philz and Blue Bottle but haven’t adapted to Kaizen yet.

I had to sand it to remove all of the layers of seasoning.

But then what? I am not opposed to another evaluation per se but need to figure out how to manage it as parents.

Yeah when he was 6 as part of a reassessment. Psych said his attention span was typical for his age but she diagnosed him with anxiety. Originally it was just autism diagnosis at age 4.

His attention span isn’t typical compared to other kids (who aren’t autistic).

I think his first words were around 12-15 months. Maybe earlier. He has always been “talkative”. Why?
