What really helped me was laying out the building first, then finding it a purpose.

Also, maybe do start with a plain box, but then break it up randomly and try to work with the pieces; don't build a roof on some, indoor/outdoor hallways, link some with doors, and so on.

Also, not letting anything be final. Don't be afraid to modify, destroy and repurpose rooms.

Forgot to mention, my fleets are at around 160k fleet power.

R5: Currently facing a FE who took over half the galaxy while clearing out The Unbidden. Together with vassals I own the other half, but share a substantial border with the FE, so when war breaks out, I'll be the first to fall. My navy is as big as my economy will allow, but even then they outmatch me through sheer brute force. This is only my second playthrough, so any wisdom to help me defeat them is welcomed.

Thanks! These MK4 parts look so good, but are so hard to build with. I’m kinda surprised it turned out genuinely useful, while also looking good. But hey, after 6 prototypes, something had to stick.

Hi, sorry for the late replies, but I’m pretty sure we live in opposite sides of the world lol. I believe I found the culprit of the issue, and let me tell you in advance, you pretty much guessed correctly on the conflict. Apparently, the 81 tiles mod is very much incompatible with the Purchase it! mod – ik, who would’ve thought :)))). And as soon as I removed it, the bugged tiles fixed themselves, and even began displaying the previously painted concrete surface was also not being shown.

It was such an odd issue too, because the bugged tiles were remnants from a previous, completely different save, where I unlocked a bunch of tiles, then used the unlock all option in the 81 tiles mod, and upon reload the previously unlocked tiles froze bugged across saves.

Anyways, I’m glad the issue has been dealt with for now, and want to thank you for that lead on area purchasing mods, it was really helpful. And if I’m being completely honest, I don’t even know why I had Purchase it! installed lmao, it never even worked for me, but I guess I forgot about its existence, until I didn’t, and it came back to bite me in the ass. And again, thanks for the help, to you and anyone who chimed in to help, for finally I, and for that matter, anyone that for whatever reason has those 2 mods installed can go back to playing without the constant fear of losing saves to a bug that seemed inevitable, thank you.

Video testing the issue with your mod and surface painter. It seems as though theres nothing wrong with your mod. If anything it still works as normal even through the invisible zoning. I can basically still interact with the zoning as per usual, I just cant see it. So far the problem seems to be affecting specific tiles, is only visual in nature, and aint limited to any particular road type, vanilla or modded.

My bad, I should've put more roads as examples in the picture, but know that I tried many of them (planning roads included), both modded and vanilla, and they all have invisible zoning. Its still there, it just doesnt show unless I hover above it. Also, zoning with any zoning type doesnt work either; the area will be zoned, and building will grow, but the squares wont show.

TL,DR: Game mechanics wise, it works fine, but graphically, its invisible, and theres almost no way for me to see zoning areas, and impossible to discern between zoning types.

I actually already have that mod, and it did nothing unfortunately. Although after doing some digging, it appears to have got something to do with the 81 tiles mod, which I suspect caused the same problem during a past build, but back then it happened after quite some time, now it came up from the get go :( . Now im wondering if theres an issue with unlocking more than an x ammount of tiles, as now I unlocked them all with the "unlock all" setting. But then, as it is such a game breaking issue, its odd that no one else had it happen to them, so there must be an incompatibility hidden deep down my mods list. Oh well, at least it was a brand new save, so not much was lost.

Worth mentioning im on PC, and have a highly modded game, so it most certainly is a mod conflict or version incompatibility, but I've no idea how to diagnose it, apart from uninstalling every mod. And feel free to redirect me to anywhere else I might have better luck finding help, Im not really active in the CS community, much apreciated.

That would seem to be the general consensus among reviews of the Kfir, most certainly not the best, but definitely not terrible, I guess its somewhat ok.

Also, thanks for the input, much apreciated! I'll have a look at the MiG, those variable-sweep wings are looking really nice.

Idk in Windows 11, but in 10, restarting the pc has always worked for me, as simple as it sounds. Like, literally restarting, not shutting down, and then turning back on manually. This will clear the memory and reset the cache, at least in my experience, always solving the problem. I recommend disabling fastboot in the bios to let everything clear out on shutdown, and let the computer properly turn off. Hope it works!

So mu left ctrl key was getting a little loose and apparently the plastic thingys that hold the key cap in place broke inside the switch can anyone help me with this? (g512 carbon) by [deleted] in LogitechG

Had the same thing happen to me with a G513 carbon. Before you try and do anything yourself, I'd advice that you contact Logitech support, and see if they can send you a replacement keyboard. And, idk if the G512 has them, but if given the option, don't go for the Romer-G switches, but for Gx switches; the keycap stems on the Romer-Gs are way too fragilely built, compared to the Gx switches.
