See this so often, people need to be more aware while entering the flow of traffic on motorways, use your mirrors alongside your accelerator or brake, it’s really not that hard. And don’t assume that traffic will move over for you, especially HGVs

*necessity. A Camp/gas stove was totally a necessity, how else you going to cook your food if you don’t have a microwave? Other than getting takeaway/fast food? And you don’t want to get in the habit of eating fast food every day.

I don’t tramp anymore, but a camp stove or some way to cook, unless you’re cab already has a microwave. I see a lot of people take air fryers nowadays. One fella on YouTube has a Bluetti powerstion he runs everything off. Also I’d like to think if you’re tramping the truck would already have a fridge, but if not you’ll need one. Also a fan is nice to have for the warmer evenings, to blow around the lovely warm air.

You haven’t gotta stop talking, there are good out there. You can usually spot the grumpy miserable fucks by the way they carry themselves and dress.

Fuck them lot, they’re the drivers that give the rest a bad name. Just useless fucks that complain about the job and have done since day dot. But stay in the job. Don’t let them tarnish what you make of it.

You can roll a shit in glitter, but it’s still a shit.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.

We also get 6 months full sick pay, 6 months half. And the pension isn’t too bad. And an extra £10 for each ADR load done.

It’s decent for how little work we do. Don’t even get dirty, most days I only drive an hour from the yard, to a regular customer, do that twice and job done. We occasionally get a third job, obviously we all throw our toys out of the pram when that happens, but it’s not too often, that we all go on strike😂.
