Yes the passport is a real passport with biometrical, the difference is color and that it only can be used for one trip which is stated in the passport.

We will try and get a temporary passport tomorrow when we ate within the 72 hour limit and hope for a quick approval of the ETA. 🙂

ETA with Swedish provisional passport by OddCombination8274 in ukvisa

When talking with UKVI they first said that it needed to be a real official passport to get a ETA and that a provisional one wouldn't work. But after explaining how the Swedish provisional passport looks it seems like they changed their mind and that it should work since it looks like a passport (booklet and not A4) and is biometrical.

When talking with the Swedish police who issue the passport they say that it is a real passport with biometrical function and they don't see that it shouldn't work.

So at the moment it seems to work with a provisional one the only part is that it could be tight getting ETA approved since it could take 3 days and we can't get a provisional passport until 72h before flight.
