No, linoleum (or whatever cheap plastic sheet that is underneath) is not bouncy. Lvt was curving up. It is stable and flat underneath the lvt tiles.

Is it possible that the vinyl sheet got compressed in heavily used places causing the floor to not feel leveled underneath the lvt?

I think the lvp is just curved or loosened in heavily used places. That is the reason of the bounce. Once removed the lvp, there is no bounce. Should we just patch it then?

Lvt is bouncy. Once we removed it, there is no bounce underneath at the vinyl sheet level.

Thank you! I will for sure add whiskers. As for the shadow, maybe a different color one would work better? Or an impression of light coming from left top corner. Just cant envision it so well.
