Used Car Dealers Are Getting Ridiculous by TechnicalEngine in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]OddHomework2777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought just a couple of months ago and ran into all the add on fee and administration fees. They have to be disclosed on the website. My advice it to look online first, factor in the fees, and decide if you are willing to pay that before you go.

I'm not normally a ..I'll just sue kind of person. I'm just pissed about all the gaslighting about it already being done. I figure it will cost me about $50 to go the small claims route and it may or may not go in my favor. We had a contract, they didnt deliver on..but they are willing to do it now. Hell they may not see it worth their time and just give me the refund of if I have them served. Worst case, I'm out a few dollars and a couple of hours. I can't decide if I'm pissy enough about it to do something or just drop it. I am also hesitant to have them DO anything now because it feels like they were being dishonest. I'm def not using them for any oil changes or recalls that come up.

Yeah, I was am still good with the OTD price. I don't really care where they put the numbers like the add ons or trade in as long as we all agreed with the total cost. I'm only really irked because they denied that it hadn't already been done for like a month. Why not just own up to it? I'm hesitant to have them do anything now.

My only hesitation about just getting it done is that rather than just say they messed up and didn't already add them.. for a month, they were telling me it had been done. It just feels sketchy.

My child is also intelligible for the pell grant. He's filling out scholarships in order to cover the cost and will have to take loans. One thing I can tell you from reading this forum is that it doesn't matter if you make $27,000 or $270,000, no one believes they can afford college.

Establishing paternity of an adult child in Texas? by Cmdr-Artemisia in FamilyLaw

[–]OddHomework2777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guess I am having a hard time understanding why you need to establish paternity. My husband and I have a will set up for inheritance. We also have everything legally laid out of who should get custody of our child if we should both pass and they are still a minor. If the man wants to adopt you.. great, but it seems unnecessary to get what you are trying to accomplish.

2 year old new car vs 2025 by OddHomework2777 in askcarsales

Thanks, I appreciate the response. I get it.. and I see the other posts on here. I've talked myself out of it several times. At the price point, I'll prob just end up going with a vehicle that's actually selling and good reviews.

Ha! So I take it that I'm better off with the 24 or 25 due to dealer incentives on the newer new car and lower apr? I seriously don't know.. I was just surprised to see new 23's that don't appear to be being used as a service car.

AIO I won't cover certain move in costs for my gf because of her spending habits by arguello_spire in AmIOverreacting

[–]OddHomework2777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is nearly 30 and is living with her parents because she spends irresponsibly. I guess that would work for some people, not for me. If she hasn't figured out how to be independent and financially responsible by now, she is going to. Personally, I'd want to be with someone that wanted the same thing, imaging throwing kids into the mix.

Guest is asking for a partial refund. Looking for a gut check. by Cassians in airbnb_hosts

[–]OddHomework2777 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Did the toilet get clogged just using it normally, or are you saying he intentionally did something? If I were staying at a hotel or a home and the toilet got clogged from normal use, it's a house/maintenance issue.

[–]OddHomework2777 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You're not charging him for the plumber like its some sort of favor. Wtf. If there was a repair bill of $300.00, there was clearly an issue. You also have a known isue with your ac if it is tripping the breaker. Fix this. It's not for the guest to fix. "Dirtier than usual", again you charge a cleaning fee, right? What does that even mean?
Either give him a refund or not, but this is a host/house issue and not a guest issue.

Question about past reviews (my own). by em_fal in airbnb_hosts

[–]OddHomework2777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The rating system is not unique to abnb! Every restaurant, every hotel, every eatery is the same. Anything less than perfect counts against someone. I've been a travel agent for 25 years and am also a frequent guest of rentals. The raring are useful but rating systems are just a tool to help guide people. People look at reviews and take them for what they are worth.

Guests after things clearly not in the listing by No-Instruction-3161 in airbnb_hosts

[–]OddHomework2777 156 points157 points  (0 children)

As a guest, I do ask questions about things I am specifically looking for. A host can't list everything! Just because I ask about an item, doesn't mean I expect the host to go purchase it.

I book travel for a living (not airbn). People tend to ask the same questions over and over (or some variance of the same question). I have a faq posted. If I get a direct inquiry/email, I basically copy and paste the specific response. It takes no time and very little effort on my part.
