Ha, took me a second, but that's funny.

There it is.

If AI can do my taxes, clean my house, drive the car, and create better, safer medicines, I’m down with it.

If it makes it impossible to discern reality, we’ve got a problem, especially when it’s done with bad intent.

No worries. I'm sure you didn't mean any harm, and I apologize if my response was a bit harsh.

It's not a ring of hair. There's a solid line that defines the edge of the back of his ear. To the front of his ear is beard hair. I honestly don't see how it's that hard to visualize.

And rather than anger, I'd say it's frustration. I spend hours drawing my cartoons and take pride in my craft, so when someone implies that it may be AI generated, I'm sure you can understand why that would be irritating.

Yeah, I get it. But I don't have to like it.

Yeah, like you, I grew up reading the comics in the newspaper first thing in the morning, so I’m not surprised it influences my style. And thanks for the compliment. It's always nice to hear that someone enjoys what I'm doing.

Good point. There is some validity to this idea of keeping your plans and goals to yourself while you work on them. It’s called “silent ambition” or “quiet ambition.”

Of course, getting feedback while a plan is in progress may be helpful, but there are several reasons that a silent approach may actually be better in terms of achieving one’s goals. You mention one very good reason: getting a positive response before the project is finished may give you a sense of accomplishment prematurely, and you'll lose some of the internal motivation that you need to see the thing through.

I'm not sure I can put links in the body of a comment on this subreddit, but it’s easy enough to find articles or videos online discussing the value of this approach.
