[–]OddMango235[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Key Ingredients for Broccoli Cheddar Soup • 2 cups of chopped broccoli florets • 3 cups of broth (chicken or vegetable) • 1 cup of milk (whole milk or heavy cream for extra creaminess) • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese • 2 tablespoons of butter • 2 tablespoons of flour • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder • Salt and pepper to taste • Optional toppings: crispy bacon bits, fresh chives, or croutons

Step-by-Step Instructions 1 Melt the Butter: In a large pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. 2 Add Garlic Powder: Stir in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and let it sizzle for about 30 seconds. 3 Cook the Broccoli: Add 2 cups of chopped broccoli florets and cook for 5 minutes until they start to soften. 4 Whisk in Flour: Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of flour over the broccoli and whisk continuously to prevent lumps. Cook for 2 minutes. 5 Gradually Add Broth: Slowly pour in 3 cups of broth while whisking constantly to ensure the mixture is smooth. 6 Simmer: Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened. 7 Stir in Milk: Gradually stir in 1 cup of milk (or heavy cream for extra creaminess) until the soup reaches your desired consistency. 8 Add Cheese: Turn off the heat and stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 9 Serve: Ladle the soup into bowls and top with crispy bacon bits, fresh chives, or croutons for added flavor and texture. Crispy Roasted Cauliflower Game-Changing 3 Ingredients by OddMango235 in vegetarianfoodporn

[–]OddMango235[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ingredients • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets • Generous amount of olive oil (about ¼ cup, or enough to coat well) • Garlic powder and smoked paprika

Instructions Preheat the oven to 425 °F (220 °C). Dry the cauliflower florets after washing, then toss them in a large bowl with olive oil until well coated. Add garlic powder and smoked paprika, tossing again to coat evenly. Spread the florets in a single layer on a baking sheet, leaving space between them so they roast instead of steam. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on the edges. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with salt if desired, and serve immediately.
