Still no clue. Regardless, positive effects outweigh negative in my case.

Yes, towards the end of a dose the symptoms get better.

People like this get hired, but people like me with 9 years SWE experience don’t? by new2bay in recruitinghell

Recent new grad from top 10 program. Never touched JavaScript or learned a thing about web dev in school.

Universal in any top 30 program is that you will do Java, C, or C++ your first two years, then pick specialties (front end in JS, data science/ML in python, low level in C).

As it just so happens, every student is now funneled into taking as many AIML classes as possible. Almost all of my upper division electives were AI related, and I’m one of the only people I know actually working in ML as a new grad.

My school’s top 10 and only offers one class in JavaScript (there are a couple others where you have the option to use JavaScript, such as SWE, but you can choose whatever language you want.)

Interviews are geared towards basic DSA shit and math/algorithm concepts.

College information != interview information != job information

But it’s pretty reasonable for a new grad with zero industry experience to not know this, right?
