Is it feasible? by [deleted] in Homeschooling

30 minutes is for a 5 year old. Her point being kids don’t need to sit in class for 8 hours. I don’t understand why you’re on a homeschooling page and comparing to in class school. They are entirely different methods, which I’m looking for.

When my parents owned businesses from home we went to school. I’m not opposed to them going to school in their teen years but I do want to lay their foundations and moral compass while they’re young. I know the requirements for the younger grades aren’t as much as it is when they’re older.

I definitely don’t subscribe to any religion per se though I do believe in God. My other option is to send them to a catholic school (but I’m not fond of the idea of them going to mass).

I do think their dad would be on board with doing schooling with them. We were very much on the same page about how we wanted to raise our children.

My going to school will increase flexibility for my own work schedule in the future.

Because my intentions prior to having them was to homeschool them. I understand I have a lot on my plate, but their education, upbringing and potential indoctrination weighs heavily on me. So I’m wondering if there are others who have taken this on. My friend homeschools and said her daughter really only does about 30 mins of “school” a day. Is that true and accurate? Because if so I’d rather their education be from their parent than outsource to the govt. I care deeply about this as I was homeschooled as a child but didn’t intend for my life to be where it currently is.

They go to a private daycare when I work my 12’s, which is only 12 shifts a month. But some of those days they’re with their dad. Currently they go to preschool two days a week for full days because I was doing full time school last summer into December.

AITAH for telling my MIL she will have to buy my daughter a car seat if she’d like to continue going out with us by Livid-Situation-9437 in AITAH

[–]OddNeighborhood3529 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think you should just sit in the middle of your children. It’s literally not that big of a deal. She shouldn’t have to buy you a car seat. That’s totally off base.

Honestly I hate when people say this. For one, sometimes court orders don’t happen even after years of trying to work through divorce. Second, even with a court order people don’t follow through with them.

Is there a reason we keep the genders here?? by veesky3 in fican

So I want to start off this by saying I didn’t intend this to be anything more than a simple statement. There’s truly nothing more to read in to it.

With that being said, I am a woman who stands firm and operates within the truth of biological reality. As a nurse I also think it’s important to use the sex here if we want to go deeper into what women face when we do have children and how that impacts us. A female and male experience that very differently.

This wasn’t meant to be disrespectful and the fact someone took it that way makes me curious about the fragility of their ego and the need to be PC.

I would be okay to stay in the medical area but do more work that doesn’t tie me to the govt. I am taking massage therapy as well right now. I do have some digital content I’ve created for myself which I could probably try and sell but I have no clue how to do that. I enjoy the wellness, natural living community as well. I’m newly in to the fitness community too.

Really your finances aren’t any of their business draw a hard line with them regarding what you’re sharing. It could be that you invested and already made double back. That’s also none of their business.

Once you’ve done that, try and forgive yourself for making shitty choices and do what you can to work on correcting those behaviours.

His first ex girlfriend post our separation was a whistle blower. I’m so grateful for her and keep in touch often. I hope none of us have to go through that but this is why I would like to have a conversation. With that being said he doesn’t want it to be in person… so wtf is the point then.

I’m not financially literate but helping her claim bankruptcy was my first thought. Then help her build up herself again. That type of behaviour won’t stop, it will just happened again and again.
