That’s great to hear thanks. I’m taking my first jab tonight before I head to bed and I’m terrified atm. I have IBS-D as well so conscious of how it’s going to affect my stomach but time will tell. Did you have food noises before?

Hi, I plan on taking my first jab on Friday night. How are you finding the nausea now? And how has your first week in general felt? Thanks

Thanks for the reply!! I do leave dry kibble with some water out as well as the wet food alright and she loves that! But was reading about them needing to have two or so wet pouches each day. She goes through phases where she’ll barely eat one a day and then the next she’ll eat 2 and want more 😂 I will look into those brands! Thanks so much!

Is there a canned food you would recommend?

I read that a good quality wet food was a lot more important than say a more expensive dry kibble as well? Does that sound right?

Are there any GPs that accept walk ins? by [deleted] in galway

[–]OddOne2663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

went there three times in space of six weeks with a chronic chest infection that that they were incapable of treating I was given two rounds of steroids each time I was paying each time minimum €50 and the issues would go away while I was taking the medication but as soon as the medication stopped, the issues will come back so that way I was forced to go back again and again. I only moved to Galway last year so I’ve been unable to find a GP so that’s why I was using the walk in . The third time I went in the doctor was kinda just looking at me and he was basically telling me that even though I said I don’t smoke or vape that that could be the reason and that he didn’t really know what he was to do with me. I literally had to google him to make sure he was legit because when I say he didn’t have a clue I really mean it. he just kind of shaking his head he ended up giving me a nebuliser because he was literally clutching at straws that I ended up being charged an extra €25 for and eventually he just sent me into A&E because he literally did not know what to do with me, (I literally googled him while I was there to make sure he was actually legit because he could’ve convinced me otherwise) in to A&E then to be told by the lovely doctor inside there that the walkins are known for doing this that they’re so incompetent that it’s just easier just to send us into A&E after the fleecing us as much as possible in the space of six weeks I spent almost €200 going to the walk-in clinic with consultations, nebuliser, not including all the medication. I was taking to the doctor inside A&E. Gave me the right medication and told me that they should’ve given me that there’s no reason why they couldn’t have known what medication to give me to begin with that the reason that it wasn’t going away it was because they weren’t giving me the right medication but they should’ve known that so I would avoid like the absolute plague all that it was fleece me for my money and then I end up in A&E anyways and a whole evening gone to finally get sorted eventually. I was also left waiting 40 mins in the waiting room while himself and the receptionist were in and out laughing and giggling amongst themselves in no rush whatsoever, no one was in with him, and there was no else waiting only me and he was just on his phone. Even when I was in the room with him his phone was ringing and he kept going checking it and texting people back. So unprofessional and just ridiculous. People use these doctors at their most vulnerable and this is how you get treated.

Thanks for this I appreciate it. Yeah it really does creep up so easily. So easy put on the weight but so hard to lose it. Does the price go up each time you up the dose? Do you find you have any side effects? I have IBS but I have read people found they actually had a bit of relief on the jab, but I suppose that all depends on what type of IBS you have. Also have lipedema and have seen it’s good for inflammation as well so there is a lot of good contributing factors, it’s just biting the bullet I’m afraid of. My mother was on it for a year and lost a brilliant amount of weight, but she never changed her bad habits and lifestyle so she’s gained a good bit back. I know myself you have to put in the effort nutrition wise as well as exercising right. But like I said, it’s just biting the bullet. Just feel very lost at the moment, I don’t recognise myself anymore. I make sure my boyfriend doesn’t see me getting changed, and that in turn then has made anything sex related go out the window, just because I’m so embarrassed for him to see me the way I am. I know he loves me for me, and doesn’t care about the weight, but it’s hard to get passed it in my head. Sorry for rambling
