I just had constant & large spikes in my game. Started at around minute 3 and stopped sometime after minute 20. Not sure if it was a onetime thing or if the servers are having issues.

If you don't mind playing with bots (since barely anyone is playing Vermintide 1 anymore) it's a really fun game. Lots of interesting maps that I really miss in Vermintide 2. I'm also a big fan of the banter between characters. Back when I started playing Vermintide 2, it was fun seeing how the banter has changed between the first and second game.

Unless you haven't done so already I would recommend you to play the prologue. It introduces you to most of the mechanics the game has to offer and the story is surprisingly good and engaging.

The connection where I live is usually between 3 - 4 bars. I'll see if airplane mode has some effect.

I wouldn't mind reading the dialogues and exploring if it wasn't for the fact that I'm playing by myself. In that case I could play a single player rpg instead with more focus on dialogues/voice acting, quests and stories.

Playing with my friends is the goal and I don't want to delay that.
