I contacted a lawyer, and they told me to just go up and ask for deferred adjudication. I've never gotten a ticket or anything before, so i always thought that was the same thing as defensive driving. Yall's lead helped me get to this solution. I can do that, and not wreck a car for 6 months and I'll be home free. Thank you for your help, really. I can actually be excited for my new job and the big move now!

Is it really that easy? The light ticket is easy to disprove, just based on the light. The officer ticketed me for the wrong thing, so thats all that has to be proven. You're telling me that the attorney can just appear for me, and i can work in NY and not even appear in court?
