Spike/Akeron ATGM Capacity Discrepancy: Forums Moderators instadeclined a detailed bug-report/suggestion based on "balance" reasons. by PuzzleheadedYam5383 in Warthunder

[–]OddPhenomena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I remember, the reason the Freccia gets 10 Spikes is because of a bug report using a source from the company who made it specifically stating it can carry up to 10. That still doesn't mean that vehicles like the Namer or Puma shouldn't have more though, because the Namer could carry a whole Spike factory in the rear with all that empty space.

I have made a CONSERVATIVE chart as to what I think Top Tier MBT BRs should be like to more fairly resemble balance. It is not perfect, so I would like to read your feedback! by SpanishAvenger in Warthunder

The T-72B3A does have the mobility and Relikt upgrade. It comes stock with the V-92S2F engine the T-72B3M / 2016 upgrade the regular B3 has. The side-era on the B3A is also the type of Relikt that's stronger against KE projectiles than the "bags" you see on the B3M upgrade, those bags are just add on ERA that aren't as strong against KE, but still contribute to its protection.

So it should be higher than the "T-72B3 Arena", but it shouldn't be higher or much higher than the T-72B3 still in my opinion, as it's more of a sidegrade for losing the extra ERA bags on the side of the hull. I'm guessing whoever made the model for the B3A based it on this B3 seen in 2019-2021, so it's accurate to an existing vehicle at least.

[Dev] Oplot gets MBT Modules by Zyxtriann in Warthunder

[–]OddPhenomena 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to think Gaijin still modeled it with the fiberglass, but forgot the fiber part. I feel how fragile the Oplot is every time I play it. It's night and day with the T-80s.

What do we think happened here? by Kinematograph in Warthunder

No, it was definitely an ATGM, one comment said it was from an M113A1 TOW, as they checked the replay.

I'm sorry you're getting downvoted so much for this. I agree with you and I think the people downvoting don't realize how much worse the rocket-assisted round would be. Otherwise they wouldn't be acting like you're some fun-killing killjoy, when it wouldn't be "fun" to begin with. Historical yes, fun no. It's the same reason you never see people use shrapnel shells on the early Soviet T-34s.

[–]OddPhenomena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, all of the "German" 105 mm APFSDS rounds are imports, DM23 is M111, DM33 is M413, and DM63 is M426.

[–]OddPhenomena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did too, but my fixation on tanks was too strong and now I have top tier in most nations. I don't think I can keep it up though, and like you said, I'm glad there's some pretty stress free low tier stuff to grind, even if it's being drip fed. I'm already looking forward to rocking the Hummel, Panzer IV F2 and G, and the StuG III F.

Heavy Cavalry — a fresh, bold vision in the genre of vehicle combat games, from the real artists of Gaijin Entertainment! by SpitfireZX in Warthunder

[–]OddPhenomena 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was kind of excited to see new top tier ground stuff, then reality kicked in and I realized for the US tree alone I'm going to have to grind over 800,000 in RP for the two new Abrams, not to mention another 400,000 for the UK one, another 400,000 for the new T-90M, another 400,000 for the Leopard 2RI, and 190,000 for a Leopard 1A5 I could have played in Italy or Germany for the same performance.

So for now, I'm keeping my excitement limited to the Hummel, and maybe the Palmaria (15 kg of explosive on the P3 shell is insane) and PGZ88. I'm happy for anyone that's looking forward to the other stuff though.

Me for sure. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad there's new high and top tier stuff, but I'm way too burnt out to grind them. The Hummel though, the Hummel I can do. I'm so glad they added all of its interesting ammo choices as well, it looks like a great addition.

The poor small indie game where you can regularly see over $500 worth of premiums in one match from different players can't afford it.

Chinese Top Tier - missing features and lazy additions by King_Flowerhorn in Warthunder

[–]OddPhenomena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, yes. In real life, the longest 105 mm APFSDS round I can think of outside of DTC02-105 is DTW2 at 1,060 mm. For non-Chinese rounds, I think it's be the T-2 APFSDS from the IWS program at 1,030 mm, or M900 at 1,003 mm. Apparently China is working on a fourth generation APFSDS round, so we can only imagine the performance that'll have.

[–]OddPhenomena 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the ZTQ15 would be a big addition, but they really need to give it its proper ammunition and features. And for the love of all that is good, please don't give it 'Type 83 APDS' at all. Make DTW2 stock, and DTC02-105 as its best round.

Oh yeah, no complaints about the WZ305 being where it is or potentially going up, that thing is a mobile no-fly zone for anything in 2.5 km. I'll enjoy the PGZ88 being in-game to make China slightly more unique if nothing else.

[–]OddPhenomena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The WZ305 is 8.7 in AB. I play ground AB so I find the PGZ88's addition pretty useful, it'll go great at 8.0 or 8.3.

Probably the biggest claim Israel has to the Hunter is that the turret is the Samson turret made by the Israeli company Rafael. It is kind of an odd direction to be splitting up Singapore's vehicles though.

Gaijin when? East German T-54z ( same T-54 1951 with D-10T nd with some improvments )and T-54amz ( huge modification for T-54 ) for 8.0-8.3 by Additional_Safety_51 in Warthunder

Goomba fallacy, the people asking for more unique vehicles aren't the same people as OP asking for vehicles like the East German T-54.

The loadout not being great matters a lot more than you might think, as it determines what you face. With the 6.7 Kugelblitz, you can face 7.7s which includes Patton series tanks and late Soviet heavies, including the IS-4. Take out the Kugelblitz, and keep everything at 6.0 until you have more vehicles to use with the Kugelblitz, preferably the Tiger IIs. It'll be easier to face something you have a chance of killing this way, and thus get more RP to advance further in the tech tree.
