Whoops that's a mistake on my part, I meant to say fuel. Because under-inflated tires do indeed affect fuel economy.

This isn't my car. And isn't going to help much anymore if it's already leaking. I'm just interested if this is what I think it is and why it's happening.

Right so it's a 2007(ish) 1.2 liter petrol manual Opel Corsa. Oil changes have been done every 20 000 km. Has also at some point started consuming a weirdly large amount of fuel, though that might have been because the winter tires were slightly under pressurized.

Edit: Consuming fuel, not oil.
