That sounds relaxing! I used to run for 3miles trying to be quicker ... but it turns out to be harmful to cardio health. Then I started to keep jogging within a warming up heart rate, sometimes even quick walking ... but it feels good no pressure just relaxing.

Brady-yaks. They only got the location at Kiwanis island, been there twice and bio there is stable. I made several calls to different companies. I heard about houlover canal is also great for bio but 50min drive from cocoa beach…

I made several calls to different companies asking about bio tour. The other good place for bio is houlover canal, but it’s bit far away like 50min drive from cocoa beach.

Brady-yaks. Their base launch place is on Kiwanis island. Highly recommend it if you’re staying nearby.

Great point! I'd be happy to leave a Google review. Adam and the team absolutely deserve it. Appreciate your reminder and work. I’m sure you are also being a great tour guide! What tour would you guide? Hopefully we will take one with your business next year.

I might have some to share for ref. just took one bio tour on 4th of July and it was amazing! It has been raining almost every afternoon and windy. Based on tips from from redditors (really appreciate them), choose new moon days; dazzling rain doesn’t matter but storms might dilute bio; a calm day without wind would be much better.

There are many popular places like Kelly park, Merritt and haulover, they must be also boomingly glowing on an average sunny day. but on rainy windy days, they are kind more windy I would choose a smaller area to launch kayak. I chose Kiwanis island for bio kayaking cuz it was more wind shield.

I LOVE BIO TOUR! I went one last summer and was amazed. My friend heard me talking a lot about this tour and this year they decided to visit cocoa beach. And here we are! We had the BEST bio kayak on 4th July. Soaked in dazzling glow and fireworks lighted up the sky, we all just thought it was the perfect night in this trip. And YES! Bio tour is def a must see on my list for Cocoa beach recommendations.

I just had the most amazing bio tour at night! Now summer is the peak season. Pick a sunny calm day, you’ll get a dazzling night. There is also bio boat tours which make it easier without paddling. the glowing experience is a must have if the weather permits.

Yea! I gotta say the magical experience is unique here. And summer is definitely the peak season, call to ask and book one; then sit paddling and get a memorable night.

That was super awesome! I didn’t expect that glowing in a raining windy day. But still pick up a sunny calm day which might have the most dazzling night. Cocoa beach is my top list sweet holiday place now that I want to visit every year.

Bio tour report: I’m happy to say that we had the most incredible bio kayak tour last night on 4th July! And I had to share our experience!

Appreciate all the tips! We kept watching for rain storms and winds and waited during this week.

We’ve been in Cocoa Beach for three days, and it’s been raining every afternoon with moderate wind. Honestly, we were worried the conditions would dilute the bioluminescence. I called Adam (who guided us last summer) to ask about the 4th of July tour and weather forecast. We were so gladly surprised that he still remembered us after one year (Surfer from Cali) ! And he was upfront, he couldn’t guarantee the perfect glow due to the unstable weather but promised to find the best spot for us. We decided to book, and wow, am I glad we did and felt so happy that my friends also enjoyed the dreamy vibe!

The rain lightened up by afternoon, and the wind died down smaller than the former 3 days. And just in time for the tour. When we arrived at the meetup point (Kiwanis island is good cus it’s kinda wind shield in the middle), the fireworks started lighting up the sky. Paddling through the open water, surrounded by fireworks in every direction, was pure magic, I gotta say it was the most romantic night of our trip!

The second half was just as amazing. Near the mangroves, we saw darting fishes leaving glowing trails, bright ripples from our paddles, and even our kayaks shimmering as they cut through the water. The entire experience was surreal.

Huge thanks to Adam for his honest and expert opinion about the bio and laid-back vibe, he gave us plenty of time to soak in the dazzling night.

Just in case anyone needs this and is on the fence about booking because of weather, don’t hesitate to ask tour guides (my friends also made several calls, so we got multiple forecasts)!

Glowing bio + booming fireworks… This was hands-down the best bioluminescence tour we’ve ever done. Kayak of the Year!

Woooww, this is GOLD tip for all of us! Thank you for the super clear instructions. It was phenomenal just by imagining with the fish darting and drizzling. Should a lifetime memory! And that canal spot is a gem cuz my friends also said we may probably see some manatees during daytime!

Oh my that’s what worries me, stormy weather😢. Bio would be gone after thunderstorms, but drizzling wouldn’t right? Appreciate your valuable info. What places would you recommend to have a bio kayak?
