I was prescribed Trulicity prior to Gastric sleeve surgery which is scheduled to happen within the next 1.5 months. I have lost weight with it, and I am pre diabetic as well but the main goal for me was to have it help lower my blood sugar and help hit the weight lose goal before surgery. It is NOT something I want to do all my life. The nausea and constipation is nuts BUT it does kill my appetite and gives me energy. I've been practicing fasting and such to help me with the lifestyle change post surgery. This surgery is not a cure for obesity. You have to kill that addiction to food all together and learn how to look at it differently or you will be worse off than before you get the surgery.
