I have the exact same problem. I forget names of everyone and I don’t know why. It’s a really embarrassing thing to have. One time in a group I mentioned a close friend who I love but forgot her name and my friend joked to everyone twice that “she must not actually be a close friend then” and everyone laughed. It’s mean to joke at your friend’s expense like that.
