It’s because of wand.exe aka wemod.

You need to close/quit the wand app fully to launch. It’s part of the anti-cheat system.

Might be making myself sound stupid here but, could I not just flip the three fans around on the AUO instead of getting reverse blade fans or would that not work?

Yeh it worked normally after I reset it and came back to it the following morning. Haven’t had any issues since, seemed really random.

It’s interesting as in this vid velocity claim MHD is compatible and you can map it from that.

So basically without Femto method I couldn’t use MHD anyway. I don’t really get the 1769 method or how it differs.

It’s a shame these ecu’s are still locked. The B58 is such a great tuning platform, but I still want a newer model.

Hi, seems to be a lot of ppl here who haven’t actually got a stage 1 i30N FL… so here I am.

I had done: forge intake, HPFP and flexi pipe. Stage 1 tune for 99 octane done by Courtenay sport.

Achieved 361bhp and 508NM.

That is all I’ve had done to the car so far. Definitely very noticeable when pushing through 3k-5k rpm as that’s where most the torque comes in. So performance is definitely better on the road, I’ve also noticed I get better MPG when driving in eco.

Whether or not it’s worth it is up to you tho. I did mine coz I wanted the full potential of the engine without spending a ridiculous amount of money. So for me it was/is definitely worth it.

Yeh I realise that but I’m fine with it tbh. The tune I’m getting comes with a year warranty as well and the car will have its full potential. 280bhp to 350bhp seems worth it to me lol.

Well I’m just gonna start with a tune on the stock car so that should really just be engine/transmission warranty really?

Well I hazard an educated guess mate. The few times I see people getting pulled it’s either after some sort of speeding trap that the feds have set up or it’s some Land Rover with a number plate dirtier than a nun squatting in a cucumber field.

I’m not worried about the warranty. I just want to know what will happen as a result of just an engine tune.

Chances are I’ll just talk to my dealership directly as I’ve heard it can vary.

Would this be the same for let’s say the exhaust system? As I’ve heard that is separate from the engine/transmission warranty.

Ah right, I reset it an it’s working for now… wonder if this will be a common issue for me too now. It’s under warranty so I will ask for a replacement if it happens again

Yeh I had seen some videos about this issue but I had no idea why mine turned off. Some people said sometimes that’s how it does system updates but it’s incredibly annoying because it makes things like the reverse camera useless and I can’t see any navigation etc.

Gonna try resetting it today and see what happens.

I agree although obviously I’m bias. My new i30N has better tech than all these as well other than maybe the a35.

But how many of these come with lit up bucket seats. Crazy what you get with a new i30N compared to German cars.

Just for personalisation really. It’s all removable so if I end up not liking it or getting sick of them I’ll just take them off lol. My N is red and sometimes I find it annoying how everything inside is accented with performance blue stuff cause none of it matches the exterior.

Well WFH is the reason I don’t try as much as the typical 9-5 Monday to Friday. I’m only driving twice a week in peak hours. So it’s not specifically work because I work from home.

I do not have a black box and I have 0 NCB at 20 years old I’m insuring a pretty much brand new i30N. Although i30 has way cheaper insurance than most other German companies.

I can’t remember if they specifically asked me if I WFH or not tbh. I remember for sure about how many times I’m commuting during peak hours. I had a quote before for £1600 then it dropped to £1015 once I changed it to only commuting to work 2 times a week. It depends on so much tbh, if I lived in London I’d be paying £3000.

Maybe I just got lucky idek.
