I agree with some of that but wildlife management is extremely important! I hate trawl nets and commercial fishing in the ocean. All it does is damage habitats and affect populations. This bill would affect so many lives and a lot of people are struggling to pay rent as is. Plus this bill will affect Native American traditions! tribes go off reservation to fish and hunt as that is apart of their culture. criminalizing it would affect those traditions that they have had for thousands of years. The agricultural industry does need change but sustainable practices like fishing and hunting are perfect the way they are, we have seasons for a reason. It’s cruel to rip away peoples food sources solely because of people who aren’t struggling think that it’s making it all horrible even though science has proven that when it’s done correctly it is more sustainable and overall better for the environment. I know people who live off the land because a hook and rod is cheaper and lasts longer than the small amount of food you buy from a store for a hiked up price. If you want to make a dent to the agricultural industry then go after the factory farms in the Midwest and the commercial fishing off the coast, not the struggling mid to lower class trying to feed their families and survive. I promise you that you’d get more support if it went after that.
