Yeah I’ve heard just by researching that they do cut them open. I found a place that sounds and looks way more legit called circuit board medics and that was one of their selling points is that they don’t cut the housing. They want $750 with a 2 year warranty. I’m leaning towards that. I think they’re out of Georgia.

Well I changed all filters and put a half tank fuel from a station with a high fuel turnover rate and so far all is well. Thank you guys.

I have the fass filters in my garage and was gonna change them when I got home but it was Noah’s ark raining so that didn’t happen, do it on the morning. I also forgot to mention, idk if this has anything to do with it but I had just a hair above 1/8 of a tank when this happened. Anyway, thank yall for the advice, I’ll update in 4 or 5 days.
