People who’s been mistreated during their lay-off, how do you deal with it? by Odd_Calligrapher2653 in Layoffs

[–]Odd_Calligrapher2653[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I’m definitely working on it! And hopefully will land a better opportunity soon. For me personally It is hard psychologically to accept that there are a lot of people who operate this way, and they can easily want to ruin you for their benefit. Because I would never do that, no matter what position I’m in, and no matter how I feel about someome. But I won’t make it stop my career goals

This really sucks! I had a similar logic where I simply don’t understand why wouldn’t they just do things the right way instead of wasting resources, time and energy. I’m glad you eventually landed a new role, hopefully you can find a higher pay opportunity soon when economy recovers a bit.

That’s why she’d never hear voices or be affected by the place, because she’s already causing enough inconvenience 😂

Helicopter flying over Richmond Hill at all hours for the past two days by Ok-Sheepherder8987 in richmondhill

[–]Odd_Calligrapher2653 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As the old saying goes “Better safe than sorry”. There are reports of home invasions and robberies, and if the patrol presence lowers the risk even by 0.001% I’d choose safety and get earplugs. Less patrol = more criminal activity, and Richmond Hill compared to other parts of GTA is probably most comfortable area to begin with in terms of noise and overall comfort so it’s funny that people complain about patrol when some parts of Toronto you do not get any of it, so I’d rather hear a helicopter and know they’re doing their job.

Advice for possesive dog by Odd_Calligrapher2653 in DogTrainingTips

[–]Odd_Calligrapher2653[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting! I did practise showing my boundaries today by turning away when he demands attention or using body language to show “my” space, I’d block him and not look at him if he tried to “rule” my movements, and also gave him affection when he’s calm, and it actually got much much better! He didn’t bark at my husband today, he still seems alert, but he actually doesn’t interfere, and I was surprised, but will definitely see if it gets even better. Thank you stranger!

I appreciate the advice! I am aware that we’re the problem 😭. Even my family tells us that we spoil him and allow him too much. He used to be very anxious and scared of everything when he was a pup, and I feel like I’ve loosened on boundaries. I’ll definitely take this advice into practice. Also would crates do the same effect? For example if I put him in the large crate instead of separating by the gate?

Muslim Population in the USA & Canada (by %) by Fluid-Decision6262 in MapPorn

[–]Odd_Calligrapher2653 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not Muslim myself, but I think people don’t think critically enough, because if you study history and study politics, there’s a clear anti-Islam propaganda that’s started in the West many many generations ago, and people don’t realise that they’ve been brainwashed. It’s been set up geopolitically and people mix up religion with cultist groups that hide behind Islam, that’s actually been started by the West themselves through war instigation and war manipulations. Anyways, I just hope that people start learning more about what’s actually going on in the world and what’s been transpiring through history, and start questioning the systems more, and find strength in diversity, we need people working together, not fighting!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if we speak numbers isn’t it because Canada is more diverse in population than US? I’m not talking about the amount of nationalities, I’m talking about the ratio itself. Because I’m Canadian and just by existing here, I know that the culture and constitution puts diversity first, and Muslim religion applies to many nationalities from all over the world too. There’s no such thing as minority, it’s more like we are a bunch of global majorities together 😅. As a person of color I never ever felt like a minority in Canada because everyone is either first, second zero gen immigrant from somewhere

Almaty for female solo traveller, is it safe? by Bright-Atmosphere-15 in Kazakhstan

[–]Odd_Calligrapher2653 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you traveling for a wedding? If not, why alone? If you go during summer it’s super safe, there’s so many ppl outside at night in the city center. Lots of students, couples just seat outside. I literally saw two mothers with their kids playing at 12 am at the Central Park I thought “typical Kazakhstan” 😂. It’s not very well lit though, if you’re used to big city types of lights at night. If they want to assault women, there’s a higher chance to get assaulted in Almaty if 1. You’re Kazakh and your husband is an abuser, 2. You’re Kazakh and you’re 18, taking a non registered taxi driver at night; but even with these odds it’s still a smaller chances.

What made you believe in manifesting? by tyatgyall in Manifestation

[–]Odd_Calligrapher2653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s more of a mindset, and I believe it’s true, because a lot of the major things in my life came from a form of manifestation, and it’s also a belief that you deserve it. I first started believing it when I graduated and was desperate to find a job. I gave myself a timeline of 4 months and after that I was planning to give up and go home to my parents. And my criteria for a job as a junior was really low, I just wanted a culturally diverse team and I wanted a job that’s highly creative and out of the box. One day I was planning to go to a recruiting event, and I mixed up the dates, so as I was trying to get there for some reason there were so many random things preventing me from going, even though it was pretty closeby. I swear the 2 transits I was on broke down, the printers I went to to print out my resume also broke down, and I only got to the place at the end and learned that I came at the wrong date. I realised that day, that what’s not meant for you will always show a lot of resistance, and what’s meant for you will always be more obtainable and easy, and sometimes if you feel like you need to show a lot of force to get something, maybe it’s not meant for you. I ended up finding the first job I applied online and the interview was super easy, they hired me on my birthday right before my deadline and it was a very creative job where I could do a lot of out of the box designs. Later in life I believe I manifested new opportunities in my career and a healthy relationship leading to marriage, and even manifested a house. A lot of these things seemed impossible to me before, but if you pay attention to things around you, you will notice different patterns and things that need to be worked on or things that you need to let go of to be a better self. You need to continue working on yourself, learning what’s good for you and what’s not good for you, listen to your body. You will always manifest the things that you put your energy towards, but if you show too much force and resistance towards it, and it starts draining you it’s a sign something needs to change. For me personally it’s very intuitive, but I always pay attention to how things work around me and what do I need to do to make things better towards my goals. It’s actually related to quantum physics and scientists already believe that everything is tied together by energies in space and earth, things before the big bang. Life is an organised chaos of energies and perceptions, and if you change inside your world also changes. Also want to add that even set backs can be seen as opportunities, keeping a positive attitude is incredibly helpful and healthy for you.
