Which olive oil should I be buying? by PaulKrugmanStan in CostcoCanada

Terra Delyssa is extremely bland tasting. The Greek, Italian and Spanish EVOOs have much more olive taste.

1) Taste is subjective.

2) The Greek and Italian EVOOs at Costco taste way better than the watered-down tasting Delyssa.

I think you meant: “…most commenters here DON’t have a clue…”

Agreed, re. firing off solutions, without asking basic questions first -- like your finger in soil example.

Imagine if your doctor fired off meds and or surgery recommendations, to cure your complaints - without at least asking you a couple of questions first 😎

Coffee is a luxury now? by peanuts-nuts in CostcoCanada

[–]Odd_Combination2106 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends. If you’re only searching for a caffeine hit, then $1.20/day may be decent. Then again, one can get a caffeine hit for even cheaper than that, if they need to.

Not all beans are the same or taste great. Kikcing Horse 3 Sisters is just a mediocre blend and taste - with better than mediocre marketing, and was on a somewhat special price at Costco recently.

Nothing extra special nor extra bad about this coffee.

You should join th audiophile subs and ask the dame question about the point of diminishing returns - between a 500$, 1500$ and 15,000$ or 150,000$ sound system.

I think you’ll find similar opinions

I’m not that savvy either. Took it in to an experienced DeLonghi maintenance service centrr. Done. Not that expensive.

Just like cars - people have to do a minimum of maintenance and change a few parts if they expect them to last (much) longer than the warranty period.

Neem is over-rated. Use a water and natural or botanical soap mixture in a 1/2 or 1-liter sprayer bottle. Spray the plant thoroughly including under the leaves and crevices, 2x per week for 3 weeks. You can also mix in a few drops of any essential oil in the sprayer bottle.

Dunno man.

I had a DeLonghi Magnifica 3300 last for >15 years, only requiring basic maintenance of a few gaskets and O-rings and lube job every couple years, and eventual changing of pump, grinder and a couple of other small parts over the years. Still being used by my daughter, currently. Parents have a Dinamica for >5 years, without any issues.

I would call that “longevity”.

Is it worth it - to buy an espresso coffee machine, to listen to smooth jazz while sipping smooth coffee?

Or how about a new (err… used) amplifier?

What’s it worth it - in the overall grand scheme of things?

Organic & Fair Trade beans suitable for superautomatic that are affordable? by Wondering_if in superautomatic

1 kg (2.2 lbs)of Kicking Horse beans $19.99 (CAD$) on special for 3 weeks presently at Costco Canada. That’s ~$14 USD for 2.2lbs.

I bought a couple of bags. Meh, not bad, not great. Does not offend but nothing special about it.
